Mr. Pablo Larrain is very imprecise about Opera and Maria Callas. Opera might include tragic stories, but also happy stories, joyful stories and hilarious stories (Mozart, Donizetti, Rossini, Puccini!). It was Musical Theatre and, everywhere, the quality of Music leads the scene, the acting and singing, in complexity and perfection. Maria Callas was able to commit and fully dedicate herself to that complexity, through effort and continous work. That is how she conveyed emotions and beauty through Musical Theatre. Will Angelina, mixing her voice with hers, be able to do the same?

The question is would Callas have approved A.Jolie to act her life figure in the first place. Don't think so, in her case the voice is important, it is her weapon to make people love her and adore her, or hate and attack her. And Maria is everything but fragile, she is a strong personality, she is strong enough to call Onassis her friend before the most vicious journalist Wallace, whom she accepts into her home.
