I find this discussion refreshing and so uniquely open and honest. For Nicole to go into this place out of creative curiosity and challenging is very brave and amazingly courageous. Sometimes, it is needed to open up a discussion about something that we have trouble talking about. Learning more about ourselves and that we all go through it.

Such an open, intelligent and also fun interview to watch. Halina did well to leave Netherlands, where the film industry could not match her abilities and I am happy to see her thrive .. And Nicole , well, such an openness and modesty to admit that even after a long carrier she is still discovering. I would have like to hear more about Harris Dickinson because he is my favourite for few years now, a great talent as well. I cannot wait to see the movie and I hope it comes fast to the Netherlands :).

This movie has a very Dom/sub feel to the previews that I’ve seen. It’s quite common for a person in power like a CEO, to get release and feel better, when they have a Dominant tell them what to do.

A LOT of high power men need to be safely dominated. And a lot of them ask for that.

The other side of "Eyes Wide Shut" Her story. Looking foward to see Kidman do her thing 👌 🇦🇺🇷🇴

Eyes Wide Shut was a personal project for Stanley Kubrick to see whether he could smash Hollywood's most famous couple to smithereens. He orchestrated an intense campaign to seduce Tom and Nicole by appealing to their egos, then twist their romance into distorted chaos and betrayal. All of the seeds of their break-up were set into motion during EWS. Eyes Wide Shut, by itself, was a very ordinary, even mediocre film. But when seen through the prism of a director whose goal it is to disrupt and destabilize a renowned marriage, it accomplishes its prime objective.

@@Gillxy for the sheer challenge of destroying the revered. That was the essence of Kubrick's entire career in film: slaughtering sacred cows.

@@cookie_dough_hangover yet many actors say they gotta get in the mind of the charachter they played in order to feel/live it ,so to deliver their role in a more convincing way.Wether it is acting or not we may rightfully suspect and make our own conclusion since it's got exposed for our perception and judgement and this is also to the awareness of the actors too.We are human. In general It's not that easy to remain always cool when such hot scenes take place sticking body to body. One of my older cousins (female) is an actor too since decades (mainly theatre)but has often told us some stories about it when it comes to play in such intense moments.Even a kiss could feel awful and pretend it's hot or could be real hot and pretend it's just a role while you're on fire after this.

How is this any different than 50 Shades of Grey and similar movies oh right it has Nicole Kidman... do we need this for women and young girls now? Aren't we all supposed to be angry at men for looking at us or making the wrong move at any moment which then is called sexual assault. This isn't helping us clear up the confusion around the male gaze and the female gaze on young men and how we do the sexual dance without calling it sexual assulat and how women communicate with men to lead them on and then turn on them. We are living in confusing times for men so this is not helpful. It not all about women all the time.

I just don’t get why Nicole keeps saying Keith is an artist and understands! He’s a musician and singer! How can he identify with what she does? I bet she wouldn’t want to see Keith doing those scenes with another woman! What has she taught her children? What has this movie proved? That it is ok to have affairs and exploit yourself just because you feel sexually unfulfilled! I’m sure deep down it hurts her husband, but evidently her want is greater than her husband’s feelings! It will eventually hurt their marriage I do believe, if it hasn’t already! She seems to have a wonderful husband, why chance your marriage and respect just for a part in a movie all about sex? Guess I will never understand why movies like this need to be made? I’m a huge fan of Keith’s and it’s obvious how much he loves her, then she feels the need to exploit herself!
