Angie is the type who doesn't kiss butts to get an Oscar and there's no one to lobby for her. Let's face it, she's a good actress but a lot of her peers are still stuck with her homewrecker image. Half of her peers is so smitten with Brad that they didn't believe his supposed alcohol- induced domestic abuses while the other half is friends with Jennifer Aniston who they perceived was victimised by Angie's affair with Brad. Angie might earn a Best Actress nomination but I doubt she will win an Oscar which now has become sort of a fellowship among celebrities and we know Angie rarely socializes with most of her Hollywood peers. I love her though and I hope Hollywood will forgive her already and not overlook her talent.

Angelina Jolie is my favorite actress and she always has been. However, I think it's horrible of her that she keeps her children from their father. I don't like women that do that. Very conflicting for me because I still love her as an actress. Now their kids are grown and she's managed to keep them from Brad this entire time. It's not okay for women to deprive fathers of time with their children. Especially letting them grow up without contact with them.

@shabrinaz9877 you've never had a parent that tried to keep you from the other, have you? I don't recall ever hearing that any of them spoke out about their relationship with their father. But whatever they said I can guarantee you it's straight out of their mother's mouth. Meaning that their mother has been poisoning their minds with lies and slander against their father since they were children and that's all they know. Had they been permitted to see him since they split, I guarantee their OWN opinions of him would be vastly different. A father deserves to see his children. Especially one who fights to do so. He was good enough to adopt her children and have children together with her when they were together but once they split he was no longer good enough to be a father? No matter how a woman feels about a man it should not extend to the children. And that's the problem that women have they can't separate their feelings and put them aside for the good of the children.

She was married to him while he was abusing her but she didn’t leave because she wanted to keep the family together since the kids were happy but then on a plane in MID air, he abused all of them so much to the point that the plane crew tried to intervene and since he wouldn’t stop, they called the FBI on him! The FBI found probable cause to arrest him for abuse but he never got arrested because the FBI in 2022 admitted during the time they were called on the scene, they had violated Angelina’s and the kids’ rights by not arresting him for the abuse that he caused. Brad never denied the abuse in the court documents that YOU refuse to even read

I just watched the movie and Jolie was simply brilliant, this is by far her best role until now. She is able to portray so much depth and emotion in her role as Callas. If she doesn’t win Oscar for Best actress than there must be something wrong with the Academy. But I am very positive she would because she deserves it so much more than anyone. Only her vocal training for 7 months already shows her incredible artistic dedication.

I just saw the Maria and it gave me different prospective when the singer or famous people lost thier capabilities to perform again , we should not critize or judge them as they already suffering from inside for thier life change from the pedestal to nothing , And mostly other not knowing what they going through as they like to keep thier toe back to pedestal And this movie is about after doctor talked to her 7days before she died remind me of other singers , lost thier capabilities to sing as they used to be , like Whitney, some still with us like Celine Mariah, and soon on,, we should appreciate them more even now they cannot sing as they used to be.. Angelina Maria film maybe not much but ,, hell !!! Angeling acting is superb,,, as how you delivered your dialog is struck our hearts .. congratulations Oscar deserve your acting performance dialog struck whomever heard .

They are correct. It is opulently filmed, but doesn't allow Jolie to portray the many different shades of the singer's personality. The flashbacks are far too few, leaving the timbre of the film very confining and depressing, to the point that it felt 'too long'. A wonderful, natural portrayal by Haluk Bilginer who will, no doubt, be nominated. Somebody didn't do their homework on Callas. I'm a very old, longtime follower of Callas who was a member of the Dallas Civic Opera.

Maria said that her maid was her mother, daughter and a true and only friend and family. I'm worried that Angelina might have played Maria as divaish person who usually just tilt their jaws up. Because after I heard her various interviews hundred times, I really think Callas and Maria was different person, and Maria was not a diva person. And all of her famous photos of hers and this video only shows her high-class fashion and these things. I hope they really show Maria's inner sorrows not just showing her scandals..and give her a real good homage like they did to Edith Piaf , because she is one of the greatest artists ever existed, and she really taught me the way to go through my life. Sorry for my english.

@AJExquisitely I sincerely believe that Angelina is a wonderful actress, but I wanted to say that she and the directors could have misunderstood Maria as a diva person. Also, I'm worried that they could have not listened to Maria's interview carefully because, In dozens of Maria's interviews, she always emphasized that everything in opera must be reasonable, so Maria and her colleagues especially Tullio Serafin, who was always praised by Maria for teaching her the depth of music, and one of the Greatest conductors of the last century, taught her that every note, movement, phrases and embellishments are there for an exact reason. I'm very looking forward to this movie, I hope they really gave a good homage to Bruna and Ferruccio and to Maria. Sorry If I was rude, and for my bad english
