Finally being the key word. I’m glad for the slow burn. People wanting them to be back together quickly is unrealistic to human nature. Whistler lied multiple times so it becomes a trust issue. Lucy is great, adore her. No 1 who gets emotionally hurt who is emotionally intelligent says hey-keep hurting me, this is fun. Nope. But I like how Lucy went from don’t touch to a hug at the end.

Broken hearts and broken trust don't get fixed or rebuilt overnight so at the very least we've arrived at the first step with the apology, which comes before forgiveness. Here's to hoping that this honesty and open communication between them continues...but I don't mind more snark & bickering tbh! The chemistry between them is so, so palpable.

I know I wouldn’t want to get back with someone if they cheated (wether cheating on me or me being involved in said cheating). Any kind of cheating is unforgivable to me. But not everyone is like me just like not everyone is like what u say. It all depends.

I feel like Lucy was conflicted when Kate finally did apologise because it was like Kate accepting that they're fully over now. And now that she can let go of her anger, Lucy has to confront that idea too, that they're over, and is that actually what she wants. I think it's great that they've established this foundation for them, and really frontloaded the series with their relationship. Hopefully it gives them lots to build on and this isn't actually the end of them.

Yeah, her reaction showed it all, she's in the verge of crying there. She's truly sad and Lucy too maybe she didn't expect that Kate will apologize for that will be like what Kate said in the car, once she say sorry, it's like accepting that they're really over. I hope it's a fresh start for them.

@@erialccrasher970 yeah, I think Lucy did need the apology, but having realised what it meant for Kate to actually give that to her, it's like she got what she wanted but maybe that has come at a cost too. It'll be interesting to see where it goes from here. I hope their romance isn't dead for good now. I think this episode allows them to move it to a new stage now, where Kate is actually trying to move on from them, and Lucy is unsure how she feels about it all. We all love a little drama in our ships, right? And this way puts another obstacle in their path without destroying the relationship completely. It's all very well done, I think.

"shoes off!".. but mainly avoided her at every opportunity, making it pretty difficult for any kind of contact.. this to me is the product of some pretty sloppy, inconsistent writing, from the different writers responsible for the individual episodes

You don't have to believe me, but just know I'm notorious among my friends for always knowing what will happen in shows/movies so take that credibility as you will. Keep in mind they are the main and almost only love interest in the show. The separation is to create drama and draw out suspense until they can have an intense getting back together in the climax/finale (most likely)

I think that's kind of the point of this whole scene though. Lucy gave her an out here too, by saying can we put a pin in the difficult conversations, but after their conversation in the car earlier, Kate kept going and made her apology, because she knew its what Lucy needed from her. She could have done it in any of their other interactions, instead she made small talk, or avoided apologising, and it was only then that Lucy would shut the interaction down and walk away. I agree it should have happened before, but I think doing it this way was necessary to show how much Kate didn't want them to be over, and how much Lucy needed the apology to begin to move past what happened. Now their dynamic has changed, with Kate seemingly accepting its really over for good, and Lucy being able to let go of her anger, which might leave her feeling differently about things.

We’ve been fed this episode. I just realized that a third of this episode are #Kacy scenes. I am gonna be cautiously optimistic with that hug. Whistler’s apology seemed like a defeat and somehow the apology was Lucy’s way of finding that peace. Something bothers me with Kate’s reasoning this entire episode. First with her not wanting to apologize (Girl, no matter how you look at it, you messed up). Second, she didn’t want to break up with Cara? I mean.. what the hell happened to “I thought it would just fizzle out”? If she was consciously aware that she still has a girlfriend in DC no matter how bad the situation looks like it, they are officially together and Kate KNOWS IT. Lucy, in all intents and purposes, did become a side piece.

Episode 19 - Nurture (Original air date: April 18, 2022) I don't know if Kate will be in Episode 19 but I really hope so. Hopefully she and Lucy coming back together in the Season Finale or maybe even sooner. I'll be honest, the majority of viewers watch the show because of Kacy (myself included). If you separate Kacy for good, I hardly think the series would have any chance of being renewed.

in part 4.."there is no us.. yes, i know that part's done".. and the final scene in this part seems like whistler is again conceding they're over, with some tearful final remarks.. then the hug, thankyou, from lucy, whistler nods, before lucy turns and walks away.. and 'kacy' is done.. even if i don't want it to be.. the writers have finally pulled it.. and if so, what next?.. they remain single?.. don't think so.. drama, big time, final episode so here's hoping i've got it completely wrong, and we see 'kacy' together, holding hands, rather than lucy holding hands with her new boyfriend.. tennant and whistler looking on

@@KatiePatton one of the guys behind this program said they hadn't labelled lucy/whistler's orientation.. assuming kacy is over then first to be moved on surely is lucy, who's well over whistler, who in turn isn't over lucy.. this season has been gay, so next they go straight.. so putting the 2 together lucy gets a b-f.. hopefully in the remaining episodes this will happen so we'll all know for sure kacy is over.. and can decide to pick up with season 2 or not.. doubt i would.. seeing either of these 2 with s/o else doesn't appeal at all

I don't think they are done. It doesn't matter if Lucy is bi or not, she obviously still has a lot of feelings for whistler, otherwise she wouldn't have been so hurt. most viewers love this couple, there is no point in disappointing them and breaking up this couple before they were even together.

@@shimmiyashimmiyo786 you watching same program i am?.. the writers broke them up in episode 11, via the half-baked Cara incident, after which lucy hissed and glared at whistler, then kept away from her as much as she could, with only whistler wanting to reconnect.. and what part of, "there is no us.. yes, i know that part's done".. don't you understand?

@@tvnkir5042 lucy was mean to her and avoided her because she was hurt and disappointed about the cara thing. she couldn't bear to be around her precisely because she is in love with her. if you don't have feelings for someone, you don't avoid them and be mean because you just don't care about them.

Don't think so, because they are the main couple and they obviously have feelings for each other. makes no sense to me starting this couple only to split them up right away. The producer had also hinted at a long term relationship with many ups and downs in an interview.
