There is no reason to say this was lipsynced as there weren't any crazy vocals, even the whistles wasn't that high for her, it was all within the range she usually do live currently, also she even skipped the hardest parts. I mean she didn't do anything she doesn't do live on her shows already, the difference here is that she is very comfortable at her home, only had to sing one song and the sound quality is amazing cause she is on her studio.

I think it has more to do with the fact that she used whistle a lot in her younger days rather than her age. Look at Ariana. She barely does whistle now and she's only in her 20s

@@shiannafoxx nah ..its age + natural decline + being milked for her talent by the label + bit of alcohol use for a little while there & most importantly, nodules. Mariah has had nodules from childhood and she had to learn to sing through them flawlessly. She also didn't help her situation by writing her songs in really high keys and just making them overall extremely difficult to sing. So, over time she experienced decline (a lot slower than people actually made it out to be btw). She did many quarantine performances (not sure if you watched them all) but she's still doing pretty well for someone that has to fight through those nodules to sing.
