@Swami Holland that's the sound engineer's job to adjust the mic's volume because its out in the open. Also the audio is clearly filtered because you can barely hear the instrumental or the background singers so the person who filtered it from the original recording could've adjusted different parts so it sounds consistent on each note. Saying this is prerecorded and lipsynced is like saying mariah used studio tracks and sounded like this in the studio. You know damn well she's too much of a perfectionist to be satisfied with audio like this. She'd never use this to lipsync.

This is a pre recorded track. You can notice the editing in some of the mic's different hisses. Sometimes she sings over her own voice... 0:48 and we can't hear a breath when the song's lenght is really demanding it. Maybe she just sang in the beggining or/and in the very end.

@@jaguar4120 what this is, is a live feed of her mic which is why you can't really hear the band or the background singers behind her that well. When you watch this on your tv at home you would hear everything in balance because you are hearing all feeds and it has been mixed etc. But this is a live fed from just her mic and you can hear the live band the backing track and the background singers faintly behind her coming through her mic. I wasn't saying that Mariah might never have lip synched ever in her whole career but this is not one of those times and too often she is accused of it when it's not true. Ive seen her live numerous times and she has never lip synched. Im not some uniformed fan Im a graduate of Berklee College of Music, being a professional musician myself I know personally people who play in her band and background singers that have worked with her- her entire career. I know the difference between live, recorded background tracks and a totally prerecorded experience. this is not one
