This performance was legendary and a comeback so to speak. Also the Grammys did not allow people to sing live so this wasn’t a requirement of Mariah’s, she’s often had choirs in her performances in the past and they’ve always lifted up the spirit of the song.

There seems to be a back and forth about what “The Grammys” allows, and as none of you seemingly work for “The Grammy Association,” I am going to stand by my opinion. Heavy back vocal tracks, with seemingly live vocals at a lower volume with moments of completely live vocals. And I never said ANYTHING bad about the choir. In fact, I praised them and said, “this is when you know it’s about to get real, I’m so excited!” But you can choose to believe whatever you want to.

You can also tell by her neck, certain parts cave in as she sings “live” same thing happens when “lip sync” and when Mariah lip syncs you can tell.

1. Never once did I call Mariah weird. 2. I said her pastors performance was strange. And it was. He was seemingly late on his entrances, the verse didn’t seem to make sense, and it came out of nowhere. So I stand by what I said, because I said absolutely nothing negative about anyone’s religious beliefs. And that’s fine, you can watch whatever you please.

She is not lip synching. 100% live, she doesnt ev3n have any equalizers, reverb or delay. Its raw vocals, youhear the raspinnes, catch breaths and its not allowed at The Grammys to lip synch. Better read up a bit so your reactions are not ill prepared next time.
