Never seen anyone hold their head or ear when hitting a note ,Chante Moore doesn't ,Minnie Riperton didn't , Rachelle Farrell doesn't , Christina Aguilar doesn't , Awesome Betty Wright didn't do it ,only Light octave hitter like Mariah does that ,she uses enhancements as well to make her weak whistle sound unique and it's not unfortunately.

lmao it is not "pressing the ear" makes her whistle unique. It is how she incorporates whistle notes into her own songs. Plus I don't think anyone you've listed achieves the same agility in whistle notes as she does. She is indeed the master of the whistle tone and is capable of applying different timbres to it, not just a piercing and screechy one. I found it painful to hear certain people whistle. It is high af but it just doesnt sound great. That's why Mariah is unique.
