Mariah never said it was a diss towards anybody. More like a shade track. Edit: Some more things I came to know: 1. This is a parody of Eminem and his feminine ways and is basically Mariah telling that he is crazy obsessed while she is over and above the mess. 2. "The real MC (Mariah Carey) please step" is a parody of "Real Slim Shady please step to the mic". This is also a parody of his song "Stan" where Eminem is portrayed as a "Mariah stan" with photos of her in his room. 3. She parodies his obsession on the verses "Got you all fired up with your napoleon complex, seein right through like you bathin in Windex", and basically shames his lack of manliness with "Last man on the earth still wouldn't get hit". At the end Eminem gets hit (by the bus) before even meeting her which means "Eminem bust before he even met her". Eminem basically confirmed this on his song The Warning when he said "I prematurely ejaculated". 4. She doesn't mention the name to not classify this as a diss track and instead make this song a global hit first. It was only when she released the video that the world came to know it is an Eminem parody. After releasing Obsessed, if Eminem responds he'll go hard and will prove her point that he is obsessed because she didn't even mention his name, meanwhile she would pretend to have not even listened to his song Warning. If he doesn't respond, she already wins. Mariah thus guaranteed a win-win situation for herself. 5. Mariah fans "lambs" already proved the voicemails were fake, so she didn't need to give him attention.
