Dude, same. If anything, making fun of a mentally ill person makes things worse. It sucks that there was such a big stigma for it for a long time.

I agree. It's like the whole Britney Spears situation...she was clearly unwell but everybody made fun of her 🤦🏽 it's a shame people still think it's cool to make fun of someone for something out of their control.

💯💯💯 Absolutely there’s so much stigma sadly still very much around mental health, grief, deep sadness even and it’s a shame. People laughed and mocked Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson even for examples during they’re public struggles, and breakdowns addictions. Then when they passed away the very same people who were laughing and making fun of they’re suffering are sad and oh I can’t believe this. Blah blah so terrible...😐😑😐

And We Belong Together was literally Billboards song of the aughts (00s) decade, and she went on to achieve 19 number one hits, one away from the Beatles which she could foreseeably tie or surpass as she’s only 12 years old. Kidding just there but seriously congrats Tommy on winning the battle in 2001, his lousy singing career never went anywhere so he decided to live vicariously through her and then tried to take her out when she finally got the courage to leave and realize she didn’t need him anymore and get out of an abusive situation which still inspires me to this day. She’s the ultimate marathon runner and came out on top to win the war over and over and over again.

I agree, there’s nothing wrong with taking off a T-shirt, though, lol 😂 But it’s her erratic behavior more than anything that took us by surprise! She wasn’t being herself. She was speaking fast, didn’t stay in place, and just acted out of character. I’ve been a fan of Mariah Carey since the beginning of her career, so I mean no disrespect, of course. It wasn't until I was 27years old I learned to recognize what is being overwhelmed. I had been working at my job for 5yrs by then, our dept had a co-worker resign, a new boss, another new co-worker, and an office relocation. Our dept was always short staffed because they wouldn't allow us to get the ppl we need AND I was handling 3ppl's jobs. I'm so used to not thinking about asking for help, my answers were always "yes I will handle". One afternoon, I don't know what I was looking like, but my new boss and also my soon to be-former boss noticed and both called me in to their office to ask me if I'm ok, my eyes widen and watered and one said, "You're overwhelmed, call it a day and head home. It's ok". I didn't understand why they said overwhelmed. I'm thinking but I'm supposed to take care of this, that and this and that. I'm like I have tasks to finish! Next day my new boss had a talk with me explaining I was taking on too much, and have to know when it's too much and overwhelming. 10yrs later, I'm still learning to recognize it but I'm getting better. I think what it is, the body and mind is set to *drive drive drive drive*, and even though the engine is running and getting you there, it overheating, it goes unnoticed. Then it malfunctions and it's not until you are literally spinning out of control, disoriented when you finally realized (or many times others have to tell you lost control of the car being blinded by your goal)... that you never hit the brakes.

What WEIGHT GAIN?! if you watch the Loverboy video, Mariah looks incredible in it 🙄
@giocaliguia8370
@giocaliguia8370 3 жыл бұрын
her skeletal structure gain mass - as well all do when we're near 30. Her figure became "thicker" (because of expanding bones) compared to her earlier body, see her body in Honey (1997) - so slim. Then copmpared it to her Charmbracelet promo in MTV, especially her waistline. It's a normal thing, but stupid people in the media sensationalized it as "weight gain."
@sware84

Mariah is infamous for camera tricks. If you notice her cameras are not similar to most. She does that to appear a certain way. Others do it now too but when she was doing it she was one of a few. Also, the pic that was shown as an example was a couple weeks after the video shoot so they get right as much as possible for the shoot and then they can let themselves go a bit after the shoot. Mariah was never fat but because she doesn't work out when she gains weight it shows in her face and stomach.
