A few fun facts 😂🐑: 1)The ending of “All I Live For” (from”you are... *whistle*... I adore...all i live for..) are current Mariah vocals. 2) “I Pray” was a demo wrote/recorded by her and Mariah gave the song to Paul Robbins (now named Lina) back in 2005. Lina’s version sounds good also. (Oprah did a whole segment on it) 3) A Mariah song wouldn’t be a Mariah song without her harmonizing with herself (octave univision) and her background singers. (sometimes even a choir, Mariah loves a choir when she performs) 4) “Out Here On My Own” was originally going to be on the Gliter Soundtrack but didn’t make the cut. Mariah sung it as a little girl and won the talent show. 5) “Mesmerized” and “Lullaby of Birdland” were originally going to be on her then titled 14th studio album “The Art of Letting Go” but due to the album cover/title/track list being leaked; she postponed the release for a year, changed the album title (Me I Am Mariah.. The Elusive Chanteuse) and wrote/recorded/added new songs to replace majority of the old track list. (Mesmerized was originally written for a movie directed by Lee Daniels, titled “The Paperboy”)

Thanks for this!! I love the behind the scenes knowledge! 1) Yes for the 2020 vocals being indistinguishable from the ones from the early 90s! 2) I really like “I Pray”. It was in one of my versions of my Top 3. Gonna go check out the other version. 3) I also love Mariah and choir! 🙌🏾 haha 4) That’s what I figured. I’ve only seen the movie once a few years ago. I don’t remember much of it but I had a hunch. That songs is made for a voice like hers. Itd be cool to see young Mariah singing it to! 5) I know that song! I actually have ‘The Art of Letting Go’ on my phone or At least I did from years ago when it leaked. It’s a random one to have and not really sure why I do lol. But glad we got Lullaby and Mesmerized now. I’d love to hear some other tracks from that original album if they were in that same vain.

@@AnActorReacts From the leaked tracklist, the only songs that made it on MIAM (don’t quote me exactly lol, have to find the original leaked cover/tracklist) were: The Art Of Letting Go, Make it Look Good, #Beautiful ft Miguel, and Cry.

she recently was on Andy Cohen and said she actually loves the cameo sample better on loverly and I agree! I don't really like that firecracker sample and it worked out to use cameo because glitter was straight 80s and there aren't too many more 80s than that candy song

Oh okay!! That makes sense! I knew there was 2 versions but I only know the remix. So the original had the same sample. But they took from Mariah on the remix version too right? Cuz she was about to work with Ja Rule?

@@AnActorReacts Correct, Tommy took the sample to use on the original I’m real and then heard Mariah’s “If We ft. Ja Rule” and called up the producer of that song and told him to make the same song/sound for jlo which then became the I’m real remix ft. Ja rule.

Slipping away, everything fades away, do you think of me,I pray are my top 4 Standouts lullaby of bird land , can you hear me , close my eyes Mariah with a choir is so amazing ☺️its sublime Slipping away is the b side to always be my baby In my opinion the audiobook of her memoir is one the best things she ever recorded and made originally close my eyes is on Mariah butterfly album from 97
