I could tell she was a little shy at first however personal life aside the true artist jumped out when she was discussing the industry politics within genres and you guys really brang her out of shell. i think tik tok pushes music for sure, but if you’re a good artist & you make good music, it’ll create that crossover affect. i heard mariah’s beetle juice project through tik tok, not because i was searching for new music but because someone decided to use it for a wig install, but it opened the door to me falling in love with her music once i listened to everything else & i loved it. not because tik tok said it was good but because her music is genuinely really good. even the ones that aren’t on tik tok.
