I know, This is everything. Her look, confidence and voice are on point. She could never beat her 1990-95 vocals but she can still throw all these wannabe artists under the bus. She was totally feeling her music here. VOL tells it all, 9:18 those growls give me life. This is 100% live, one of the very few performances of WBT where she actually sang the end live. ***** Vision of Love at the Tokyo Dome during the Daydream Tour really wasn't /that/ great. I mean, the Daydream era (1995-1996) was her vocal peak (I wish she did When You Believe back then instead of in 1998), but she didn't handle Vision of Love as well as she could have.

Daydream Seriously?!? The Tokyo Dome rendition was OUTSTANDING. In fact, her "Vision Of Love" performances during the Daydream concerts (Tokyo, Rotterdam, London, Paris, etc.) were all LIGHT YEARS better than her earlier renditions. Only the Charmbracelet Tour performances and her 2006 Los Angeles Pepsi Smash rendition were as good, if not better, than her Daydream era renditions.

The90sAreTheBest I only listened to the Tokyo Dome one, and it felt really underwhelming. I mean, there were really great parts (the "SOOO faithfully in the last chorus was crazy resonant, even though it was an E5 instead of an F5), but generally it was kind of, well, disappointing. Like, for example, she didn't even fully hold the "and it was aaaaaaaaaaallll" note, and instead stopped in the middle of the note and just punched the note a few times. I mean, I either expect her to hold it fully or go up to an F5 or an F#5. Also throw in the fact that that whole concert was dubbed, and then we have a pretty underwhelming performance. But if we're gonna talk about Daydream era performances of Vision of Love, I really liked the performance of the song from the Madison Square Garden concert. The undubbed version was really great, and I would definitely listen to it more if the sound quality was better (I really wish she didn't dub her stuff). I think her best performance of the song was the 1990 GMA performance. Her tone was really lovely and mature-sounding, her belts sounded amazing, she didn't sound winded at all (she sounds pretty winded in a lot of her performances, especially ones from the Daydream era), and she threw in a ton of amazing ad libs. It was an incredible performance that I would rank up there with her 1990 SNL rehearsal of Vanishing and her performance of If It's Over at the 1992 Grammy's.
