Our biggest crisis regarding the climate emergency is humanity’s massive state of denial that it exists on the scale it does. Yet willingness to recognize the depth of the problem is prerequisite to our solving it. It is a psychological and moral challenge to face the horror of what stands before us over the next ten years should we not act; yet there - in our standing raw before the truth that it confronts us with - lies our only hope for surviving it.
And our environmental crisis is not only climate; it is also water, air, food and soil. Our earth is like a body beginning to experience an all systems breakdown. The glacial ice melt is so extensive that the sheer weight of melted polar water is changing the shape of the earth’s crust.
As president, I will treat the problem holistically. Global warming harms the weather patterns which harms agriculture and animals which harms people’s capacity to live in certain areas which harms the city-to-rural ratio which harms social stability which creates a refugee crisis which all together lead toward untold catastrophe. What is imperative is that we awaken now and take immediate, bold steps to change course.
What is necessary is a full scale climate emergency mobilization effort, not unlike the kind of effort undertaken by the United States during WW2. Without such an effort, the world will begin to see social collapse and mass starvation unprecedented during our lifetime. Climate disruption, if not itself disrupted, is on track to become “civilization-threatening.” Refugee crises, extreme weather events, non-survivable global temperatures making certain places uninhabitable, global food crisis, economic collapse - none of those phrases are hyperbolic. They are warnings.
The United States needs a president who understands that incremental change -even bold incremental change in regards to the climate crisis -is not enough to stave off environmental catastrophe. The American people must be informed of the severity of the problem, and enrolled in a massive national effort to deal with it.

If you know American voters, please ask them to consider voting for her. You are right, we are one home, one earth, on species. We are interconnected. If we didn't know that before Covid, we do now. The GLOBE will not tolerate more war-mongering, hateful, bomb-dropping, race-baiting, lobby-bought US Presidents of either status quo party. Thank you, in advance, for your consideration.

Do you have all of the poof you need? I'm still waiting for proof that there is a catastrophe upon us. I have seen none. There have been catastrophic predictions that have not panned out. Those of Al Gore are prime examples. Look them up. There are temperature recordings that show an increase, but there was data that showed a temperature decrease between 1940 and 1979. People are learning to make the Sahara bloom through proper plantings and all plants utilize the extra CO2 in the atmosphere to build up more fertility in the soil for greater growth. The covid "crisis" has primed people to operate out of fear.

@@robertdouglas8895 All opinions are respected. We can have an endless conversation about temperature. We can also have an endless, truly an endless conversation about how our health has deteriorated and how much of that has to do to our food not having as much nutrients (nor the quality) our body needs anymore, and how that takes us to chemicals in our environment, etc Robert, unfortunately we see and experience enough proof. It is time we focus on the real issues, as opposed to focusing on what we’ve been guided by the manipulative & rigid system we’ve had for years. Just our health & safety alone have enough or make enough impact surrounding the climate urgency.

I gotta say, I was pretty skeptical at the outset of her candidacy. I thought Kyle Kulinski's continuous pushing of her was silly... I fully support Marianne now. Not out of necessity but because I'm genuinely impressed and excited that there is such a solid candidate running. I feel she keeps getting sharper and sharper. Better and better at messaging. Doesn't get side-tracked, stays clear and consistent!That's leadership.
@GinaGreenlee

Thank you for stating it clearly and considering the full range of options open to the American people. I was not familiar with Mr. Kulinski until your comment. I just googled him and will give a listen. That he's 35 years old speaks volumes. His generation knows that if we don't right the ship enough to clear the iceberg as Ms. Williamson puts it in her messages, then Kyle understands his generation will be aging in a very dark world. If the US and other large countries continue with wars and genocide and fossil fuels, then as Candidate Williamson suggests, the human species is looking at another 100 years at best. And the last 50 will not be pretty. I supported her in 2020 when everyone laughed at me and made fun of her. After the last eight years, I'm heartened that the electorate are getting it. I just spoke to a 30-year-old colleague of mine and asked if I may send him links so that he can listen to her campaign platform. That's the demographic that will help put her in office. I'm 62 and I'm heavily talking to all my young associates and friends. And no, I didn't contribute to the nightmare, I'm not THAT Boomer.

@@tinarhoades3178 But what does this actually mean in the context of society today? Did it ever occur to anyone that when the US deployed the DPA in WW2 mobilization that this country had practically zero regulatory agencies over industries? OSHA, BLM, BR, BC, EPA, FERC, NERC, CISA, PHNMSA - zero of these institutions existed back then. So how exactly do you maximize efficiency with defense production in combination with federal permitting laws that are currently delaying heavy civil infrastructure installations by 20 years......

The UN's IPCC AR6 report, chapter 11 'Weather and Climate Extreme Events in a Changing Climate' summarises the fact that severe weather events cannot be detected as increasing, nor attributed to human caused climate change: Increased Flooding: not detected, no attribution. Increased Meteorological Drought: not detected, no attribution. Increased Hydrological Drought: not detected, no attribution. Increased Tropical Cyclones: not detected, no attribution. Increased Winter Storms: not detected, no attribution. Increased Thunderstorms: not detected, no attribution. Increased Hail: not detected, no attribution. increased lightning: not detected, no attribution. Increased Extreme Winds: not detected, no attribution. There is no climate crisis. The UN's IPCC AR6 report, chapter 11 'Weather and Climate Extreme Events in a Changing Climate' summarises the fact that certain severe weather events cannot be detected as increasing, nor attributed to human caused climate change: Pages 1761 - 1765, Table 11.A.2 Synthesis table summarising assessments Heavy Precipitation: 24 out of 45 global regions low confidence in observed trend (12 medium confidence), 43 out 45 low confidence in human attribution. Agricultural Drought: 31 out of 45 global regions low confidence in observed trend (14 medium confidence. No high confidence assessment). 42 out 45 low confidence in human attribution (3 medium, no high confidence). Ecological Drought as above. Hydrological Drought: 38 out of 45 global regions low confidence in observed trend. 43 out 45 low confidence in human attribution (2 medium confidence, no high confidence). So the IPCC are saying we didn't cause droughts and we didn't make it rain. How surprising! There is no objective observational evidence that we are living in a global climate crisis. The UN's IPCC AR6, chapter 12 "Climate Change Information for Regional Impact and for Risk Assessment", section 12.5.2, table 12.12 confirms there is a lack of evidence or no signal that the following have changed: Air Pollution Weather (temperature inversions), Aridity, Avalanche (snow), Average precipitation, Average Wind Speed, Coastal Flood, Agricultural drought, Hydrological drought, Erosion of Coastlines, Fire Weather (hot and windy), Flooding From Heavy Rain (pluvial floods), Frost, Hail, Heavy Rain, Heavy Snowfall and Ice Storms, Landslides, Marine Heatwaves, Ocean Acidity, Radiation at the Earth’s Surface, River/Lake Floods, Sand and Dust Storms, Sea Level, Severe Wind Storms, Snow, Glacier, and Ice Sheets, Tropical Cyclones. How about some quotes from the UN's IPCC AR6? "There is low confidence in the emergence of heavy precipitation and pluvial and river flood frequency in observations, despite trends that have been found in a few regions." "There is low confidence in the emergence of drought frequency in observations, for any type of drought, in all regions." "Observed mean surface wind speed trends are present in many areas, but the emergence of these trends from the interannual natural variability and their attribution to human-induced climate change remains of low confidence due to various factors such as changes in the type and exposure of recording instruments, and their relation to climate change is not established. . . The same limitation also holds for wind extremes (severe storms, tropical cyclones, sand and dust storms)." There is no objective observational evidence that we are living through a global climate crisis. None.
