I have been trying to persuade my friends and family to listen to this for the last 5 days. Completely unsuccessful. They won't even consider it. They must think I'm insane. Joined a cult. Took one mushroom too many. I must remind them thar I have been talking about Marianne for years now, and they simply haven't heard me. Of course, there is the obvious reason for their recoily behavior. It doesn't take a genius to understand that people don't want to be confronted by their own failures. Nor do they want to invest their very limited emotional and psychological energy into something they feel is a black hole of impossibility. It makes irrefutable sense to them, as they have no personal historical reference of major events in which masses of "powerless" people actually changed history. They do, however, have many recent reference points that point directly to the opposite. Iraq protests did not stop the invasion. 2020 did not abolish, defend, or even slightly weaken our grotesque police apparatus. But I remember. Oh yeah, I remember. 1989. The Berlin Wall. It fell. Communism fell. This happened. It happened because people, hoards of people, went out into the street and demanded change. Remember? All we have to do is go into the streets and demand it. It'll be easy once we all decide to do it. I have seen it happen, and it is beautiful. I have decided that I will no longer ask my friends and family to listen. I will be carrying a large Bluetooth speaker with me everywhere I go, and it will be playing this speech nonstop. They will yell at me, push me, maybe even break my speaker. I don't give A F! I will go buy another, bigger one. They will hear this or I will die!

Glad you're back, Marianne, to make noise and to be inconvenient. You have a voice our country needs to hear, they just don't realize it yet. In 1973 I was a freshman at a small private college that cost $1,500/year. After scholarships, student loans and a work study job, I was left with a balance I paid with savings from a part time summer job. In 1981 my husband and I bought a small 3 bedroom home for $40,000 with a 3% mortgage. My husband worked full time. I stayed home after we had 2 children. We always managed a modest summer vacation. Our country is much more difficult for our children's families to navigate financially. We the People need the changes Marianne Williamson sees as the means to ease stressors and turn the curve toward a more equitable American society.

Marianne, I've loved and admired you for a very long time- and yet, I have choosen not to vote for you in the primary election. The reason? Like it or not, Biden will be the Democratic candidate for president. (Biden has done an outstanding job and most people are not even aware of that) Any votes that Joe Biden does not get in the general election bring Trump closer to the presidency. I do not want this country to have a Fascist president!! I'm very concerned about the November election. We cannot afford to take chances and I think it's imperative that we vote accordingly.
