I've been watching you on live streams, had no idea you have a YT channel. You're the FIRST vlogger I've seen who doesn't just highlight all the wins, crushing his opponents, bragging about how much money they've made, and not crying about losing, especially at these stakes. Says a lot about your character as a man. Much respect brother. You're one of the good ones. BTW, you didn't butcher Ryusuke's name.

The amount of hate that you and rampage get on live streams is amazing. Never realized how many miserable people there were that watched poker until I started watching the streams that you guys played on. Keep up the good work. Your presentation and how you put the videos together is top tier.
@cactuarnoob1002 жыл бұрын
Just an opinion. I feel like a lot of the hate for rampage/Mariano comes from the fact they have made it in the poker world. You need a lot of luck to get there. For rampage in particular I feel like he complains a lot about running bad in tournaments over a sample size and how he moans about it but doesn’t want to improve about it. which I guess rub people the wrong. I feel that Mariano is a little more humbled compared to rampage.

I don't know why Mariano gets any hate. Rampage intentionally makes his image polarizing, which is why people don't like him - he intentionally says he makes decisions for the views, for the variance, etc, and "pure" poker players hate that. They want to see someone playing optimally 100% of the time. Mariano, I don't see. He's always been genuine about his intentions and decisions.

Thank you so much for posting these Vlogs. I’ve seen almost everyone, and they have really inspired me to keep grinding when I hit those downturns. Keep up the great work!!!

Solid fold with rockets vs the 2 flush's on the turn, this seems super easy when you can see their cards but I feel like many people are continuing with a big overpair with plans to fold on club/4-liner straightening card vs bet on river. It seems insignificant but people get sucked into compounding trouble with scenarios like these and then they add up/kill momentum.

Everybody could see this session coming one day. That happens when you push yourself constantly to play higher, higher, higher and higher. While there is so much money to be made playing slightly lower stakes against clearly weaker players. Grinding it out like J. Knish in Rounders. Call me a hater whatever you want, but i love Mariano like most of you do and i understand he has come a very long way from the 1/2 streets up to where he is playing now. And of course he has a lot of balls to play these stakes and he is a better player than most of us will ever be, but still pushing yourself to your limit playing these high stakes to you are not used to - at least in my opinion - is a recipe for disaster. It would be such a shame to have one or two more of these devastating sessions and having to return back again to the micro's. He certainly wouldn't deserve that. There is nothing wrong with playing 2/5, 5/10 or 10/20 at still making lots of money with his ability, table selecting the right games and raking in the $ left and right. Just my 2 cents. Good luck Mariano.

Hi, Mariano. Unlucky on this vlogs results. Could you please do a video talk us through your progression through the stakes? I see you’ve went from playing 1/2 three years ago and now you’re playing 100/200/400, that’s just insane spin up and I’m interested to know how you’ve reached such big stakes in so little time. I’ve been a live cash grinder professionally for 15 years, I too started on the 1/2 and 1/3 streets, I do still play those stakes, my main games are 2/5 and 5/10. And, I’ll occasionally play Bellagio’s 10/20, but I feel outclassed and out-bankrolled at those stakes. I’m by no means a crusher, I very much know my ability and make most of my money from good game selection. I’ve never been backed and play entirely off my own money. The reason I mention this is I’m super keen to know how you and Rampage have managed such massive stake jumps in such a short space of time. Because, whilst you both play very well and I’m sure you’re +EV in most games you play, you certainly aren’t super study world beaters who can jump into any game and crush. So you will get whacked and have the occasional massive downswing, as you’ve posted about in this video. So, to cut a long comment, short, my question is how have you managed to rise so quickly up the stakes. Do you not practice good BRM? Is KZbin paying you an insane amount of money? Do you have any other income? Do you have a rich family to fall back on if you go broke? Are you backed? Feel free to tell me to mind my own business, but I’m genuinely curious how one goes from 1/2 to 100/200/400 in three years. And, since you’re very open with your vlog, I thought it would make some good content for your viewers. I hope this doesn’t come across as a hater, that’s not the case, I’m a fan and looking forward to attending one of your MUGs when I’m back in Las Vegas in a couple of months. Unlucky on this vlogs results, but keep up the good work!
