Wow! I’ve been watching you since the beginning. This Vlog has been 1 of my favorites. You’ve made best lay-downs I’ve seen in years personally. I would have lost a lot of $$$ by not folding your top pair of Kk and pocket QQ. Also, not going all-in on the 2 pairs vs AAA, flush over flush…. You’ve made amazing folds, calls, and raises. I have a new respect for you my friend. Your thought processes and detailed explanations were absolutely mind boggling. I am learning so much from you. You’ve just became my all times favorite. I went to the Hustler sometimes just because you’re there playing bro. I wish you the best in your career and stay positive.

Seriously refreshing to see a humble poker player show their losses, and explain both their thought processes, and the mistakes versus what would theoretically be best play from a calculated GTO. Especially since none is able to play optimally in every hand, I think it's important for new players to see that losing is a big part of playing, but you don't give up long term, you play, learn, and walk away at the end of the session no matter the results. Though wins do come with bigger smiles normally lol😂
@calighis Жыл бұрын
I'm convinced there is such a thing as optimal live stream play and that you've developed a theory of change for the game in these circumstances. It's probably (on balance) a question of what hands would be entertaining for streaming weighed against risk/reward and some other factors. I'd actually love to hear open convo about this subject if it doesn't mean giving up trade secrets.

I think that's a fair point as well. It may (and probably is) be production/broadcast bias, but it seems a lot of the high variance decisions or unbalanced decisions like, "most of the time I should be folding this but EVERY NOW AND THEN you want to raise." And we always see the decision that is supposed to be made maybe 10% of the time and it feels like it's being made all the time when there is an actual balance that is being called for. Is the proper balance actually there? Do we just see the extreme situations, etc.?
@m4tt5678 Жыл бұрын
@sd_pjwal the 90% he folds just don't make the vlog because no one wants to see a pre-flop fold. (Whether it actually I'd 90% folds still up for debate I guess)

One opinion or advice I wanted to give you as one of your follower ...you should think twice and play smart when your playing with the house meaning the owner of the house no matter how good you are you'll never gonna beat the house So better do not collide with Ryan or Nick From in-house technical team somewhere can send signal to a dealer then from a dealer to the owner come on no one can snap call that quick hands of AK with that huge amount..anyway it's free to speculate but just focus to the and that opponent if it is Ryan or Nick
@itselmar4927 Жыл бұрын
Just focus the way Ryan plays he was so sure he is gonna win 🤣 and pay the debt Of his sister he needs to milk you I got nothing against Mr Ryan Feldman he is a nice guy but he still have control as an owner I humbly suggested he shouldn't be playing at all just to save the pride and security

That 10-9 Suited hand is very indicative of what good players do when they are starting to tilt. Unfortunate reality, that I get frustrated about too. Aggro players MUST sustain a table image that injects doubt, in order to run believable bluffs. This means actually showing down some winning hands. I have bled and bled at a table, and known that if I had flipped over a winning set at some point, I could push 'that guy' off of top pair. But if I've folded every preflop and mucked every hand, bled off chips, missed too many draws.... I actually have to hit something before I can push successfully again, or else that schmuck will call me down with pocket deuces. I have, obviously, never played at these stakes or skill levels, but it sure looks the same from here. How else does someone call off three streets of value and half a deep stack with A high?

The last hand was the most burial, since he either had a read, or just didn't believe what you where selling, hero call with no pair😮. We all have had it happen to us, but most of us can not imagine the effects at these stakes,! I ran into 2 coolers within 3 hands, nut straight on turn loosing to flush on the river, then nut flush on turn vs villain boating on river 😢. Reloaded, and was able grind back for only a $40 loss on the session, so I count that as a win on ability. Next session was $550 win, both at $1/3, that session had 2 players just running bad, both had bought in, and reloaded for $1200 total each, so the table had action. Most of us can only dream of being able to play at these stakes, and with the way your year has been going, this is only a big speed hump that might require a wheel alignment to get you running straight again, and be able to dodge the potholes.

Hey Mariano, not trying to be Monday morning quarterback, but I know you take advice and criticism on the chin. Your sizing on the river for the last hand does not exist. You’re either supposed to go 3/4 or check since your range is so capped. Going block, half, or overbet in that spot reps nothing. You probably thought about it and concluded that 3/4 or check was the correct sizing for you range there after the fact, but I just wanted to tell you in case you missed it. Unfortunate stream, you’ll win it back plus more though

Easy cold call from Ryan bc mike X raised then you raises so all he has to do is let mike raise you again potentially. When I see that ACE on the flip even tho I have 2 pair I’m gonna thinking I’m behind. I’m checking down and folding to huge bets.
