Do you prep the flowers a certain way to be food safe?

Usually just wash them with soap and dry properly. For a step further you can wrap the stem (if any) in saran wrap before sticking it the buttercream/fondant

You can always ask a florist which flowers are edible but you can use any flowers as long as they're sealed

1A works but you could also just pipe without a tip
