Every since I watched WB, I have been spellbound by Marideth Sisco and her heavenly voice, particularly for her interpretation of this song. As an open minded metalhead, I will be blown away by music of the angels. I can listen to a dozen other versions of Come All Ye Fair And Tender Ladies, but there is nothing as magic as this version.

5 years too late with my response, but yeah, I'm a metalhead myself and this song is badass. Watching Winter's Bone as we speak and had to take a break to go down a KZbin hole and check them out.

Spellbound exactly the word I,m locking for. 6 years too late with my answer but I,m not a metalhead or at least I dont think so. Only a gray haired grandmother from Sweden who find this pearl. Apologize my bad english

Such a treasure. She stands up for women, but so subtlety, secretly, "they" miss her message. But we don't. Beautiful!

Gail M , You said it! When I have had a difficult tiring day, day, I like to listen to her sing "Farther Along" . I don't have the album, so I just listen to it on YTube, hook my lil phone up to miniature speakers, and tap on different things I've enjoyed which she sings with theBB Band.

Lucky Thirteen , Yes you said it. My mother could sing all these songs, was an entertainer in her day, now she's been gone over 20 yrs, but listening to Marideth, hits the spot, so melancholy, & sweet 🌷

I also love her graceful voice and appreciate the way she sings in a style which doesn't bind her to every beat of each measure. Rather she her voice floats on its own journey, hitting the notes in a fashion I can only compare to Sinatra's, as they then always meet the accompanying instruments/ or in his case the band or orchestra/ at the end of a line or verse or particular part of a song. She is especially good at this on "High on A Mountain". She can croon like RClooney, & many women through the years, with great vocal expertise. Thank U 4 posting this..

Yes you can hear Elizabethan times in her beautiful voice . American voices evolved their own accents but if you listen carefully to people like her and the early Carter family you can still hear the Old World .

When I first came across "Winter's Bone" and heard Ms. Sisco sing, I was mesmerized and has been repeatedly watching that movie. Question: are her songs on record/tape, I definitely will buy them all. She's wonderful!

Such a serene and soothing voice. The sound of her singing has the same calming effect on me as that of Alison Krause. That's saying a lot.

The way Marideth cuts off certain notes ( the first "fair" , for example ) is very unusual.
