Why would she be taught how to rule a kingdom? She had lots of siblings, so probability of her becoming Maria Theresa’s successor was very unlikely. Because of that, her role as a princess was simply to marry another mighty ruler to cement the alliance.

Do British Royalty own the estates of their residence? If they do, then theoretically they could close them off to the public.

Some royal residences are the private property of the royal family (eg. Sandringham and Balmoral are owned by the Queen) so they could in theory shut them off completely, and for most of the year they already are. Others belong to the Crown, rather than to any specific person, so are basically public property. Although the royal family live in the Crown Estates it’s a semi-independent body called the Crown Estate Commissioners that runs them and they bring money directly into the Treasury so there’s no chance of them closing them off to visitors.

I hope they were joking! It's unlikely Marie Antoinette said the phrase "let them eat cake." The phrase was written in a story by Rousseau when she was 9 and published years before she supposedly said it. It's also doubtful she repeated it, and records show the phrase wasn't attributed to her until 50ish years after her death. She deserves some blame for the finances, of course, but no more so than her husband.

Moreover, what really endepted the country was the War of independance in USA, in which the French fought alongside americans against the british. Marie-Antoinette lead herself a very extravagant lifestyles, but it really wasn't what created the huge dept of the crown at the time. Moreover, if she didn't spent that much on parties and clothes, and stuff, she still would've been criticized anyway
