I spring cleaned my 6 year old’s room on Tuesday. It took my three hours from start to finish. I was overwhelmed at times but I pushed through and I love the outcome and the satisfaction that all the junk is gone.

You should try an Amazon list or target. That way you put what your child needs and family can choose from that list.

Love the room this way. You have Made the boys a very nice and cozy space! About the overwhelming amount of toys for gifts, I see nothing wrong with gently making suggestions for gift ideas from fmily. Encourage them to consider books, and even clothes, blankets, and bedding as gift. It's expensive raising and providing for kids now and we all need less of everything. The is just a thought.

My kids have gotten the same gift many times. I take the gifts that are still new in box and put them in my gift tote to regift. No kid needs 4 of the same toy. My son still has unopened gifts in the top of his closet that he’s forgotten about. I’ll regift those too!

Love your channel!! For toys we try to declutter before Christmas and birthdays! The last few years we have encouraged people to do gift cards or an experience we can take them to instead of toys! This year we plan on doing a trip for Christmas instead of gifts from us (of course Santa will still bring stuff) but my kids enjoy going somewhere and making memories!

As far as toys, I have friends that will still have birthday parties for their kids and on the invitation write, “no gifts please “. I think it’s an especially good idea if Christmas just happened or is about to.

I always feel bad but I usually trash any plastic toys that I know aren’t going to last more than 2 days (after they’ve played some with them and toss to the side), donate anything that’s not a fan favorite anymore and leave some at my moms so they can play when we visit! I used to have a hard time ridding of things but now that we will have 4 kids it just HAS to be done 😬 I do like having toys in different areas dedicated throughout the house! The dresser looks so much more accessible/functional in the corner btw!

Hey Marie, I absolutely loved this video and watching you rearrange, organize, and clean your house. ❤️ I think the 6 cube organizer is a better idea than having a 9 cube one. A 6 cube organizer saves space from having too many toys out that you will have to clean up later. Also, I love how you had toys in 6 bins as well which matches each cube.

We ask for gift cards for our kids since we buy them stuff . The grandparents send them gift cards we use them for clothes shoes if they want a toy at a store some of there favorite snack it makes it so much easier

I love the room! I usually declutter and donate toys before Christmas and birthday. And if I’m being honest, some toys don’t get opened after Christmas and birthdays. I’ll just store them away a bring them out on a random day for something to do. The holidays overwhelm me with so many gifts 🤦🏽‍♀️

If I had tags I take them back to the store but I would just ask people to give money we just ask for a card with money in it it's easier because that way we can go buy clothing or just put the money in the piggy for them something they really won't let them save it up and buy it by something big
