I don't understand what is going on at 7:11, and in the diagram (customer, bank, market). Why is the customer selling goods? People require finance to buy goods, not sell them.

Assalamu alaikum brother, so according to salam can we consider intraday stock trading as halal? In that we will be selling something which we don't possess (legally on paper), is that permissible?

Why would the the Islamic bank take the risk of doing a Salam contract. It seems like a lot of unnecessary risk. Wouldn't be more suitable for a producer that's in need of the product to make this agreement?

@@shushanto You didn't get it, The customer didn't sell the goods he bought them so he can deliver them to the bank as per the Salam contract and when the bank receives the goods they would sell them in the market to make a profit.

Very poor explanation. What is the benefit of this contract for the customer? Why is he taking money from bank to purchase commodity that he has to give to the bank at cost? He is not making profit here, only the bank is making profit by reselling the commodity at a higher price on a future date. Whats the profit for customer?
