Mariia Shwab on Childbirth during the Full-Scale Invasion

Mariia Shvab, a PhD student at Maastricht University, studies gynecological care and childbirth scenarios in Ukraine during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war. She has conducted interviews and collected narratives from women who either gave birth or conceived a child after February 24, 2022. Mariia has interviewed 75 women in labor and four midwives and plans to make a research report with her findings.
