Marillion - The Last Straw

New and better video with the same content as my Torch Song video but whit much more detail. I put everything I could imagine to make the tale of 'Torch' as complete as I probably could. Unfortunately I had to shorten some scene's to fit whitin the song and I have already more ideas I would have put in the video, but I decided to stop here, now the result is still good.

I graduated high school with my first love back in '83 and immediately put my first band together,with never a thought 2wards the mundane "institution "of the typical living experience 4 a young man i.e.(marriage,2.5 kids,steady 9 to 5,McMansion,2 cars and the obligatory white picket fence ).Which is precisely what she wanted,much 2 my chagrin.My band and my writing, is where my heart lay.And an insatiable desire 4 "prolonged derangement of the senses".With the release of "Script 4 a Jesters Tear"I was deeply in the 6th month of my "entheogenics"i.e.L.S.D. ,psilocybin,etc.experiments and I internalized the lyrics and attitude of Fish ,from incessant repeated listening with my Sony Walkman. I was writing nonstop and drifting in the cosmos while we were touring heavily.I'd get home and ignore my girl and continue in the same fashion.About this time "Fugazi"dropped and the cracks were starting 2 show.I'm ingesting 5 microdots a trip and having visions of the technology of "listeners immersed in virtual experience of the music"and "sharing with others simultaneously ".As I am visualizing in '85,what I guess was the "internet of virtual reality ".One night,I come home early from rehearsal and put my key in2 the lock only 2find the door chained. Next, I hear the sound of my girlfriend and another lower voice. "I don't think U better come in,"she says.I hear the voice of my "best friend "who is the bassist and vocalist in my band.I could feel my heart breaking and I walked back 2 the studio."Misplaced Childhood "had just come out and I took a handful of microdot and slipped away into the album.Marillion provided the sound track for my life back in '83 to '86.Probably saved my life. I owe Fish and Marillion a whole lot. I just got back in2 them on Utube.Still remember...Thanks 4 the music Marillion!

Et l'issue fatale de sa vie est aussi un mystère comme le temps Qu'il a vécu en gardant pour lui ses vieux 👻 démons et surtout ceux de ses parents ou grands parents qui on vécu la Shoah , pendant la 2 ème guerre mondiale 🔥 Moi j'ai mis 40 ans 🐘 a connaître cette histoire A travers les chansons de Fish 🐟 sans comprendre un seul mot d'anglais, 🤭 ...Mais j'ai suivi mon idole en rejoignant le fan club de Fish 🐟 à la séparation d'avec Marillion !
