She hung out in the same circles as Bunny and RuPaul and died of a drug overdose in her home, the iconic Chelsea Hotel. This movie is based on true events and the real “club kids” in NYC who threw the most outlandish parties.

It's really quite a shame that Christina Superstar didn't get more screen time. It would have been a stroke of genius for Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato (directors of "Party Monster" and now the heads of World of Wonder, the same production company behind "RuPaul's Drag Race") to have taken full advantage of Manson's portrayal and re-created some of Nelson Sullivan's encounters with her for the DVD extras. Sigh. What could have been.
