My God I actually stopped breathing the moment she appeared on screen...wow...just wow. Marilyn truly is the most breathtakingly gorgeous and captivating woman to ever exist...it'll forever be beyond tragic and heartbreaking that she was taken from this world so quickly. Rest in peace sweet Norma Jeane, you're loved and missed more than you could ever know 💖🕊

This scene was used in "Move Over, Darling" (1963) with Don Knotts and Doris Day.

I can almost see Sweet Polly and Shoeshine Boy talking with each other. It's sad that we lost both of them so young.

Very interesting to watch not exactly a movie but the filming of movie and especially interesting to watch Marilyn going from preparing to act to actually acting the role of a sophisticated mature woman. Sad, though, for me, to see past the well-dressed, well-groomed appearance and notice how thin Marilyn was; how much makeup she had on even for filming a movie; how bleached and unnatural her hair was. I don't see much of the real person though I realize we're seeing an actress portraying a character. It sad to see this--and to see her in a movie she didn't want to be in--but this is worth watching; we see Marilyn at a critical time in her life and when it wasn't known that it was also just about at the end of her life. I remember years ago a film critic or historian saying that if SGTG had been finished it could have changed the direction of American films, I think because of it's rather daring nature, but, really, isn't it just another late 50's-early 60's sex comedy that was unworthy of Marilyn who only did it for contractual reasons? Good as the other performers were in this film, Marilyn Monroe's presence is the only thing I can see to make SGTG a noteworthy film today.

I love the way she says, won t you take it out? I bet they had some laughs at that one! Would have been fun especially since Wally was gay!

"Wally Cox married three times-to Marilyn Gennaro, Milagros Tirado, and Patricia Tiernan-and was survived by his third wife and his two children." Wally Cox was not gay.
