I feel you. I'm realizing that I will probably not be able to ride this bike anywhere close to its limit, but still, its nice knowing that it will take good care of me in the wilderness. Check out the Rift Zone series too; I actually think that might fit my trail-oriented style of riding better. One thing is for sure though -- 29ers are a must have!
