I know this is an old comment, but I really agree with this, and I think that there's always some sort of foreshadowing in each of her album. For TFJ, as you said, I think Shampain but also Numb/Guilty both (unintentionally I assume) already expose the inner-self of Electra Heart. Then, in Fear & Loathing, I think that this song is a perfect transition to Froot which is all about self-acceptance.

LOL! So close to what I thought. When I see her backup dancers I think 'junkie zombies'. They do look kinda 80's too. The big hair, and the clothes a bit. Plus the fact the video is mainly shot at night and everybody looks strung out, which is kinda how so many 80's productions looked, the 80's being the decade often seen as the comedown from the 70's.
