If ANYONE out there is saying this is a boring year, they are truly the pinnacle of fu*king idiots. Overall, song for song, it is the BEST year Ive seen since I started watching online in 2013. Not a single *bad* song, and only a few that are so-so. Otherwise, we're looking at a collection of bangers, bops, a few less but still brilliant ballads, and some ethnic brilliance, most recently Greece and Armenia, that all together blow me away. Hell, even the titan that is Italy is bringing something that for a change represents the South of the country, along with some broader Balkan/Mediterranean flavor and is very specifically bringing a brand new LatinAmerican genre to the contest: Cumbia. Throw in the ripple effect of Kaarija last year [Baby Lasagna for one], and another breath of fresh air blowing through. Yeah, anyone saying it's a boring year needs to have the basic intelligence (and proably hearing also) questioned.
