I've played it a few 5 hours the last two days and it's really fun although a bit hard in the beginning. What I love the most is the dialogue from my character. He is a psyker and he hears voices in his head which he calls his beloved. Also everything is a dream to my character. So when I found grenades (which psykers can't use) he went "oh grenades? Why did my dream conjure that up?"

Forgot to add, the weapons are fun. Been using a lasgun for the most and god they are fun xD and popping heads with psychic powers are fun and strong on Bosses xD

Two words- play it. The boltgun alone is phenomenal- it feels heavy, sounds amazing, and hits like a goddamn explosive freight train. Couple that with a chainsword or chainaxe, and you'll have a LOT of fun

I do believe this is the first game to get the bolter and plasma gun right. They're both very satisfying. It's endless fun to turn poxwalkers and cultists into clouds of goo!

plasmagun is kinda clunky, but the bolter made me do the 5 kill 1 bullet penance... penetrated 3 zombie, exploded and killed 2 other zombies

@@Silverized84 plasma gun isn't great for crowd control. You end up overheating and killing yourself. What it is good at is turning you into an elite killer.

Darktide is so much fun. I recently unlocked the Boltgun and Plasmagun for the guardsman veteran, they are amazing. Being able to mag-dump a boltgun into a horde of enemies is so satisfying.

Darktide is 100% multiplayer. Also a good deal of fun. It's not an overall campaign but it has individual missions of varying difficulty that from what I can tell aren't in any particular order chronologically. The progression comes from the level grind for new equipment and the money with which to buy them. I'm working towards the recon las-gun before they nerf it. Also you should watch RubixRaptor The Deranged Gator Boy experience - Escape from Tarkov. It's not 40k but it is hilarious.

I get to charge into groups of heretics, cleaving them into pieces with a two handed chainsword while my character bellows "BLOOD FOR THE EMPEROR! SKULLS FOR THE GOLDEN THRONE!" 10/10 would definitely play again.

7:58 This is hella funny because in game, the Ogryn "grenade" is a BOX OF GRENADES that he throws at enemies and the BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA ALONE kills them, and NO the box DOES NOT EXPLODE xD hahahahaha BUT you can later unlock a perk that makes the box go boom when you thrown it.

Just something that's probably going to be overlooked by the original video, the Bolter featured in Darktide ISN'T used by Space Marines, it's physically impossible for Imperial Guard units to use a Bolter designed specifically for Space Marines because they are tied to the Space Marine's genetic code but there's two patterns of the Bolter that can be designed to be used by the Imperial Guard one of those patterns is the Bolter in Darktide.

I have like 26 hours in Darktide currently, it is amazing. I just got my hands on a thunder hammer and it is glorious. Hammer and Bolter or Hammer and Flamer, doesn't matter the heretics all die the same. Also my zealot preacher was imprisoned for saying the Corpse-starch tasted a little strange. 100/10 game.

I've played since the pre-order beta, absolutely love it! It's a very satisfying game to play, and the in game banter between the characters is really fun to hear ☺️ It still has a few bugs, but they're fixing them surprisingly quickly, so it's not really an issue tbh.

I love Darktide so much. I played since day 1 of the beta. The instability and server issues of the beta aren’t really present in the release. I hear some people struggle with frames, optimization, just overall performance though. I played a lot of Vermintide too, so there is a bias there, however. Hopefully they’ll just keep adding it as time passes too, just as they do with Vermintide. Ideally, GW will see how happy people are with an Imperial Guard shooter and do something more with that area. Can’t recommend the game more for 40k fans or just for people interested in the universe. The fact that the base game is only 40 bucks and any in game currency you can buy purely goes to cosmetics is awesome too.

It's very fun, specially with friends. Killing our first Demon Host was an achievement. Downside would be the game still runs rather poorly at times, still some glitchiness as well though not major (though grimoire pickups are still glitched often in my experience, which sucks)

So I've gotten about 100 hours in Darktide rn (most of that is in menu ngl) and about 500 hours in Vermintide 2 (The devs previous game). The game is really good. Each class feels fun to use and the weapons each have their own uses and specialization. The immersion and atmosphere are top tier and is likely going to be people's favorite 40k game. That said there is a few issues I have, most of which is performance. My rig isn't amazing but it can certainly handle this game and yet I frequently have sub 60 fps on minimum settings. The game also frequently has server crashes and actually game crashes(not as much as it did in beta but still unacceptable currently) I'm going to keep playing this game regardless cause it's SOOOO much fun but it definitely did not launch in the best spot.

The game fully released on the 30th just a few days ago, I got the game for free during the Beta so I got some free Beta cosmetics which are pretty neat! Though you do need a beefy computer to run the game smoothly.

Oh I've played this game. Hell, I participated in its betas! My only complaint with Darktide is the lack of an actual plot beyond the prologue's cutscenes and 'Go here, KILL HERETICS, grab books if possible'.

Just saying - DarkTide Launch Trailer... It's a Must Watch. Good - It's atmospheric, Its mostly Nurgle, It's Astra Millitarum, It's inquisitorium, It's a Chanse to play Not only Astra's Veterans, but Ogryns, Zelots and even Psykers, And of course it's THE MUSIC and THE Design. Jesper Kyd was composer behind Assassins Creed and Kane & Lynch - and here it's a perfect mix for the Hive World. Bad - Glitches, Performance, Connectivity, Quality of life of product itself, Donat cosmetics which is DEEPLY overpriced (though Creators sweared there will be none, oh well) In the middle - everything else.

I've not played Dark Tide yet, but I have been playing some Vermintide 2 with my brother. It's a similar style game, but Warhammer Fantasy instead of 40k. It's pretty good, though if you've played Left 4 Dead, you've basically played it. Darktide looks like it has a different feel just because of the increased focus on ranged weaponry. The environments and everything look pretty cool, though I don't know how to feel about the characters being a tad more generic than in Vermintide (Vermintide has a pre-made cast, Dark Tide, you make your own characters and pick backgrounds for them) I'd like to give it a shot sometime. I've been really getting into Warhammer stuff lately.

Love this game, the bolter is an amazingly satisfying weapon to use. Favorite kill so far was a daemon host doing a finisher animation on a team mate, this left it completely still and I just walked up to it and point blank mag dumped it.

The game is amazing, but it has some serious problems at the moment. Mainly some people are constantly crashing so you're flipping a coin whether it works or not. It works fine for me (ironic, because my pc can barely play it), but some people it crashes so much they can't finish a match. Plus there is missing features that should be in there at launch. That said the primary gameplay loop is so fun that I personally don't care. But I guess to be fair, you give me a good chainsword and bolter and I'll forgive much. (and I just got the chainsword, and it's amazing). that and I'm only 10 hours in so there's that. Oh that's another thing. The beta run into launch, which is early access not a beta as far as I'm concern, and I wish companies would be up front about that. But also, if you think they can fix stuff in a day, that's on you so people should know what's up with that imo.

Unfortunately well pretty much everything related to the moment to moment gameplay is amazing and probably the best 40k experience in ages, there is also a lot of dropped promises and really anti-consumer styled microtransactions, especially when compared to how well they did their shop and their variety of content in the previous game of theirs. I'm having a great time, but its honestly not a game I could really recommend at the moment until the developer adjusts course. Would hate to see nothing change and this eventually spiral into another halo infinite style disaster. They've been pretty quick on some hotfixes but there is still things like crafting, some weapons, decent cosmetic options, etc. that are delayed to some unknown time post release, but you bet the cash shop was good to go and full of FOMO and awkwardly priced premium currency bundles. Its not a great launch.

I don't see the problem with the micro transactions other than there is micro transaction. As far as I can see, we're talking about like 20 skins if that which is a bad shop. I agree it's crappy that they did that before fixing the game but it's not like it couldn't be way worst on that front.

@@dagonofthedepths I was kind of vague in my original statement, its not that the microtransactions are terrible, but compared to the previous game, this game has rotating shop options to drive fear of missing out, it has awkwardly priced bundles to milk that little bit more out of people, there is no way of earning premium currency in game. All of which the previous version had. The MTX stuff isn't outright terrible, but its far more anti-consumer than their previous title, and any slide in that direction should absolutely be called out.
