My 2 youngest children were picked one year to receive toys from Toys for Tots. They never knew as we picked up the toys while they were in school and hid them in the attic until Christmas Eve after they went to bed. They still don't know at 22 and 25. Though years we had enough money at Christmas time we gave money or toys. There's no Toys for Tots collection points nearby, but we give to the local fire departments that give to the local school district. It's 2 fire departments for 5 schools.

Disney served in the Navy. While Walt was not old enough to join the military, he volunteered to be a Red Cross ambulance driver, and deployed to France at the tail end of WWI. I think today he would burn down what his entertainment parks, movies, and anything else with his name on it. I will continue to support Toys for Tots just not Disney

Walt Disney was not a marine. He was too young for WWI and too old for WWII. His other brothers did serve, but he didn’t. He did enlist as a Red Cross Ambulance Driver (as they took 17yr olds) and he was shipped out and spent 11 months in France driving patients and supplies between hospitals. An experience he always looked back on fondly.
