Great videos, I am learning tons. Could you please clarify something, in your earlier series with the white cushions and black piping you glued your vinyl to the foam side of the skrim and made a point to say “always” to do it that way, in this series of videos you’ve glued the vinyl to the fabric side of the skrim. What has caused you to change your approach and why? Keep up the great videos and thank you for taking the time to clarify!

To be honest, it really don’t matter, in this kind of application, when your not actually using the scrim for its intended purpose, which is sewing, what I wanted to convey was when sewing always put scrim side down, sorry to confuse, videos are new to me

I’m learning something new with every video, is there any reason I couldn’t use marine vinyl on for instance my old truck bench seat vs automotive vinyl? Great video Colt 👍😁

Yes, of course, you can use marine vinyl in automotive settings. I do it all the time. In fact, I prefer it more often than not. It's personal preference. There are different attributes for auto and marine vinyls. Such as, UV counts, abrasion counts per square inch, etc. Run with it. Good luck, brother!

Do you always sew with a zipper foot

I sew with a zipper foot religiously because I'm a very good sewer. Sure, there are times when you want to put a different presser foot on. Such as, long fields 60-70 inch straight runs. It would be wise to use a good presser foot that the feet have been ground down and polished smooth so as to not leave any kind of marring. Mind you, that is for a specific application for a real delicate finish, like an oiled leather you don't want any kind of knicks from your presser foot. But there are instances where you need the traction of a ribbed foot. Get in where you fit in, just be mindful of the medium you are working with.
