he served in our military-and then made a conscious, mature decision to go to ukraine as a PRIVATE citizen and NON offical capacity for personal (maybe financial) goals and reasons. he is and WAS not representing the marine corp OR the US or the US citizens. that is a FALSE and misleading statement. this all sounds socially tactically "romantic" and such out of how most of us were brought up especially in the 70s and 80s and the "evil" Russians. like a hollywood movie of Red Dawn version 14. that all these "russians" are out to get us and and are the core of evil in the world. nobody cares to mention that IF dementia joe just agreed to ONE factor: NO ukraine in NATO all these billion$ and wasted lives and harm would not have occurred. and all these guys for claimed "god and country" (and cash) fighting the russians would be home and not injured/killed. ONE element NO ukraine in NATO. russia/Ukraine share like a 1,100-mile border. IF ukraine was in NATO then the US could put all and ever offensive missile system 5miles from the russian border. what national leader would accept that? NONE. Putin does it and it is money media (and Lockheed Martin stating) "dictator" and the new Hitler in 2022 because it fits nicely into the plan of harris/biden to try to ge re-elected and looks like that will fail miserably. private citizens (most) should not be here on this channel. maybe another channel. Gio was not under US orders or command and control (unless he was somehow "agency"). i was a US contractor for years in kabul. responsible and accountable to DoD and DoS. not this "gun for hire" but claiming he was defending democracy and biden "re-election" policy and the US citizens. IF you go rouge (private/non-official): pick up your cash and go home. yes, tell your story but to a girl at a bar at 11pm OR in private to a mental health counselor. NOT on YT for clicks, likes and "subsribe" BS. tell your non-military, personal choice to go "to ukraine" or elsewhere-story elsewhere on another channel.

@@randolph69 mr. gio served honorably in the navy and usmc. AFTER that concluded: this was his own personal, non-government, non-sponsored choice. maybe bored, money, girls fame and adventure. he (and this channel) should not be telling and selling this channel as the near equivalent of of US military personnel through our nation's history and their conduct and bravery. many (most) were drafted like vietnam and WW2. each US citizen captured (killed) is used as a pawn against the US as they are NOT supposed to be there, and the Russians show that off and should. this "proxy" war was harris/biden's plan to be two-extreme liberals but to look TOUGH spending the US tax payer funds to kill foreign personnel without official US personnel (military) involved. sorry "urban/valor" otherwise your story's are good and poignant of actual US military offical personnel's conduct. as mentioned, have Gio go tell his story to a mental health counselor in private or a girl at a bar at 11pm before closing time to possibly hook up for the night. this was his PERSONAL choice to go to ukraine. his presence there and others could harm the US in the long term, and they stuff $ in their pockets and tell story's attempting to parallel the US military in official action and missions. the offical DoS policy is for US citizens are not to go to ukraine in any capacity like this. so IF so and they do and yapp all over YT ask youself: why are they not being arrested for violating federal policy of private citizens in a NON-US war zone? aka: Biden's proxy war "re-election" plan is the more important picture to this administration.

People like him are amongst the greatest people in the world, for sure. But I’m sorry to say the USA isn’t the greatest country in the world, and has never been. When you see what this country did to the word and other countries since its independence, fighting for its own interests and territories above these territories’s people (Indian wars) and then leaving them in misery in a country they destroyed (Irak, Lybia), colonising other countries and territories (Guam, Mariannas, Marshall’s, US Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Porto Rico, Cuba, US minor outlying islands, American Samoa), « fighting for freedom to annex other countries’ territories (amgot france for instance, and the us plan on taking over the French empire post WW2, to the extent they even went to Vietnam to train, arm and finance the communists against France in the hopes of taking over Indochina, just to backfire when they went there after the French left and the ones they trained ended up defeating the USA),… So many examples. Countries only have interests, they don’t have friends, and in the case of the USA it’s been very obvious.

Dude for real it’s so crazy seeing all this in real time play out. Did the same thing kinda with international mercenaries that would go fight against isis during 2008-2014 but all those guys made it back and had “great” experiences. They were always on top and had American and coalition air support against an enemy that didn’t have any. All the battles were long range and the worst thing they had to worry about were VBIEDs but they all had javelins and counter measures for them. But this war in Ukraine is a whole different game. It’s literally like a man eating monster, so many deaths. And the animosity between Ukraine and Russia has made war as ugly as it gets.

Lots of American vets understandably so get annoyed when people say they haven’t fought a real modern peer to peer war but, as much as I understand why they would be frustrated by that it’s without any doubt the undeniable reality and they have forgotten just how visceral and violent, war is when you’re fighting your equals or even worse superior enemies troops, instead of you being the aliens with the best equipment on earth bullying cavemen in the desert with the bare minimum required to pose a resistance.

Awesome video interview. This man has lived full circle, great sense of direction as in having a positive attitude and outlook on things at this moment and into the future. I could listen to his stories all day, and I think he'll do well doing interviews through internet or podcasts as well.

As a marine, I noticed his 03 11 tattoo on his forearm as he was taking me up from the emergency room up to my hospital room. I showed him my USMC/bulldog tattoo on my right bicep. He was generally caring and empathetic. I could tell he was a bad ass and told him so, now that I’ve heard his story, I am in awe.

Saw a clip on TikTok which led me here to listen to this full story. This is incredible. You sir are an incredible man and one we should all look up to. The sheer amount of respect I have for dude. Also as a fellow EMS provider I can only imagine your struggle dealing with every day bs of healthcare after that as well.

I had the pleasure of meeting Geo (Doc Wolf) a year or so ago. Talked to me about Ukraine and how I shouldn't go. Very humbling individual suggested I go enlist in the USMC like him. I don't know him personally but that was a very personal conversation.

Why he tell you not to go ?
@HUNKTheDeath2 ай бұрын
@@jackstephonski2421 I'm not trained for combat even though they will train me. Also told me how its not beneficial. He had to pay for his medical bills out of pocket. CASTEVAC isn't like it is in the US Military you will bleed in a field for a while. There's a couple of other things. Essentially telling me it isn't a good idea to go because the negatives outweigh the pros. I was pretty hellbent to go and was getting passport stuff set up around that time. But after hearing what he had to say the reality of it and the raw emotion from his voice. I took a step back to rethink a bit. Oh yeah he also mentioned the lack of food on the field at that time.
