This was the last hanna checker I got... I LOVE LOVE this! Dont know why I found this last. Its so accurate and the temp in it actually made me realize that my apex temp probe was off by almost 2 degrees! I use this all the time. Its my favorite tester I have. WORTH IT!

Instead of using a screwdriver to open the battery cover you can use the built-in cover removal tool on the backside of the probe cover. It's rounded to fit perfectly into the battery access door.

The device has not worked accurately for me and you have to buy calibration satchets once a month. I loved mine until I realized it was regularly telling me my water was 1.023 when the my refractometers tell me it’s 1.028. Not worth it

Recalibrate every month? So if I use it only once a month I need to calibrate it with every use? Doesn't seem very helpful to me.

Mine went faulty after 2 years, it got to a point I added salt to my tank and corals started showing distress, bought a refractometer and my tank was at 40ppt
