Carlos Santana straight up played some Jedi mind tricks to work that pinch-hit walk. Then D-Mo's pinch running was just too powerful. Distracting the rundown, knocking the pass incomplete at the plate.

The Julio liner is an example of what speed does on a play. The second baseman probably can't beat Julio to first so he has to try for home. Haggerty is so fast that people were scrambling and may have contributed to Loup falling. Moore was running fast and hard that left the play at third out of place. Oh ya, I completely forget about that brawl. How many Mariners did those suspensions affect? And now, to pour a little salt on the wound. The Mariners hit one of the Angels in the hands, But the Angel player swung so therefore it was a strike and game over. I think the Mariners are going to go for the jugular on the third game of this series. And sweep 🧹🧹🧹 the Angels. And the Mariners are doing it their way. If the Mariners make the playoffs. And Gilbert and Gonzalez pitch reasonably well. The Mariners are going to be a tough opponent against any team they face.

@Three Martinis Before 9 Am. Yes the Astros have a great baseball team. However, give me a list of the pitchers that the Astros have. And I think that the Seattle Mariners can go toe to toe with that lineup. Including thier bullpen. Just a reminder, that for two months, 40% of the Mariners hitting lineup. Was out due to injuries or suspensions. And the Mariners won 14 straight games. And now, what we see is the Mariners at full strength. And that was on full display against the Angels. If the Mariners and Astros play in a series in the playoffs. I'm going to put my money where my mouth is and I'm going to bet Seattle beats the Astros in that series. And anyone else who thinks the Astros are going to beat the Mariners. Shut your mouth and put your money where your mouth is and go to the casinos and bet on the Astros against the Mariners. As bad as this was I will still put the bottom seventh, game 5, 2015 ALDS, Rangers vs. Blue Jays as a worse defensive collapse. The errors were just as bad and the stakes were much higher.

So true, that's the common thought I've heard from a lot of people. Poor Elvis Andrus man

What you didn't show, was that Laz asked for a check swing at 1st and it got called a swing. Game's over.
@MarinerMojoOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was clearly a swing. RIP Joe Adell

Ideally they would’ve turned the double play on Julio’s hit, but it would’ve been an RBI single (or error rather) cause Julio was already 3 feet from first base when the second basemen picked the ball up. So, going for haggerty at home was the right decision all though I don’t think the 2B even knew it

Yeah he was definitely acting on pure adrenaline at that point 🤣

Royals fan here. If you want to see worse defensive innings, the Royals usually get at least one a week.
