Carmen Zena My advice would be to remember that boot camp will be as much as a mental challenge as it is physical. Trust the drill instructors and do what they say, they’re not going to tell you to do anything that they haven’t had someone else do, and as hesitant as you may be to do it, you just have to overcome that fear and trust they won’t put you in a dangerous situation. That’s were the mental aspect comes into play.

Idk what you do in the Navy but I tell you what man.. If you go for Marine Combat Corpsman, we accept you as one of us lol.. the shit the Marine Navy Corpsmen go through is absolute insanity. It's not as tough as USMC but it's WAY more grown up... Lets just say they give you a pig to live with for a week and will stab it, shoot it, blow it up, and you have to keep it alive as long as you can while they are flashing strobes, throwing sim grenades at you and firing weapons over your head... all while you are in the dark trying to sew a pig back together limb by imb lol.. badass shit those navy corpsmen do. Don't go infantry unless you are incredibly in shape. Like 5 miles a day with a ruck sack in shape. Best bet for $$ on the outside is going Data/Cyber. Good luck and Semper Fi

I switched from the Air Force to the Marines at the height of Iraq/Afghan war. There were two former sailors in my company. Best decision I ever made.

lmaoo damn thats shitty lol, you at SAC in camp pendleton? They still got the robertos outside the squad-bay? lol MCT and ITB are a blast. Get the fuck out of that hell hole and never look back. If you get hurt in training don't dare tell anyone.. just suck it up and finish the training or you will be stuck there for months of torture with the biggest shitbags the corps has to offer. Avoid SAC like leprocy!

The best kind of fighting is one that never has to happen, but if it ever comes down to it, I'm glad there's people willing to embrace the ideology of service, selflessness, honor, and sacrifice as Marines.

America has been our longest ally since the World War, they kept our country safe to constant threats locally and internationally. I will assure the US that if they needed our country's help, I'll be willing to risk my life for the America and my country.

I was close to going to meps. I got a cyst on both my wrist a week before I went to meps. I still have it. I was 19 ready to go where ever my country ask me to go. But the cyst stop me from fulfilling my dream due to the fact that it hurt to do push ups and pull ups, lifting 45 lbs over head, Climing rope and most all traing martial arts. I could have taken the small surgery the doctor suggested but it would definitely held me back. I'm 26 now and I still think about trying out but I still have the cyst. I got a little depressed over the years because this was all I wanted to do. My cousin went to Iraq and he told a few stories of his tours. I was very fascinated and I ask where do I sing up? He laughed and said the marines. But since Im not going no more I want to try for the sherriff's and I hope I am at least able to get in. Of course I still have my cyst. Sucks.

Then get the cyst removed and join. It's not hard to get it removed. Or just don't tell them anything about it. Nobody cares about that.

Every commercial for the Marine Corps always has to have a marine in dress blues and some twirly-whirly-twisty action on his rifle.

@jeffburnham66114 жыл бұрын
@Loveduhmusic there is so much crap given to Marines about "crayon eating", but if they knew the origin of how it began they would be jealous AF. I'll give you a hint: Ask the ladies of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority at UCLA.
