Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir (French: Miraculous, les aventures de Ladybug et Chat Noir; also known as Miraculous Ladybug or Miraculous]) is a French CGI superhero / magical girl television series. The series focuses on two Parisian teenagers, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, who transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir, respectively, to protect the city from supervillains.
In modern-day Paris, teenagers Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste transform into superheroes when evil arises. Marinette and Adrien transform into their superhero personas, Ladybug and Cat Noir respectively, using magical jeweled objects known as the Miraculous. Not knowing each other's true identities, the two work together to protect Paris from the mysterious villain, Hawk Moth, who covets and attempts to steal their powers by using his akumas, butterflies infused with negative energy, to transform Paris' everyday citizens into supervillains when they go through negative emotions. All the while, the two struggle with their feelings for each other, not knowing each other's secret identities - Marinette is in love with Adrien but not Cat Noir, while Adrien is in love with Ladybug but not Marinette.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng is the primary protagonist of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. She is a student in Miss Bustier's class at Collège Françoise Dupont in Paris, France, and a budding fashion designer who wants to have her own brand one day. With the Ladybug Miraculous, when inhabited by Tikki, Marinette transforms into the superheroine Ladybug, gaining the power of creation to stop Hawk Moth and his akumatized villains. She is the leader of the French Miraculous superhero team.
Adrien Agreste, better known as Cat Noir, is one of the two titular main protagonists (alongside Ladybug) of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. He is a student at Collège Françoise Dupont and a fashion model. With his magical ring, inhabited by a Kwami named Plagg, he has the power of bad luck and can transform into the superhero Cat Noir (Chat Noir in the French version). In Season 3, he temporarily receives the Ladybug Miraculous from Tikki, which, when inhabited by her, can transform him into Mister Bug, a ladybug-themed superhero, and in "Desperada", he temporarily receives the Snake Miraculous from Ladybug, which, when inhabited by the Kwami Sass, can transform him into Aspik, a snake-themed superhero.
"Sublimation" is a season 6 episode of the series, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. As based on the series' production order specifically, "Sublimation" is the 3rd written and produced episode of Season 6. It is also the 134th written and produced episode of the series, overall.
Adrien makes a new friend whom Marinette is determined to befriend too; but Marinette has no clue how to become friends with someone who doesn't need to be helped.

Making this video made me like the episode more. It's weird. There is a point where being understanding of someone's quirks crosses from being nice to being a doormat. I'm starting to think the reason Marinette never moves past her flaws is because other characters rarely get upset with her for them. They just comfort her when she starts thinking about them. I'm reminded of when someone referred to Komi can't communicate as a social anxiety power fantasy where everyone is understanding of your shyness, but Komi's actions never border on criminal behavior. Also, this episode reminds me of my ethics class and the question of what matters, your intentions or the consequences of your actions.

@@JesseGolo well I don't remember that any character argue with Marinette about what she doing, from stalking or stealing Adrien things (phone), and some even encourage her with what she does (girl team). And when she does act like ass and being found, like with Kagami, in the end she became friend with them etc. There were characters who could use this against her, especially Chloe and Lila, but when had some evidence (Mari try to get into mansion) Lila say "naah" instead of "Adrien, Marinette try to get into your mansion". Damn, that scene could be very funny to watch. To be honest, I understand why Marinette no change, why would she? Nobody confront her, even Tikki say something, and all people affected by this became her friends, Kagami especially. If this Sublime say she not want anything with her, that she could talk with Adrien, but not his girlfriend, maybe then Marinette would get some reason to change, to think that maybe, maybe, she's doing wrong. I not even mad at Marinette, she's herself victim of her obsessive behavior and her friends instead of help her, tried to "help her get with Adrien". A really bad take from writers, they could show that MC can have so big flaw (stalking) but with help of other get over it, say sorry to Adrien and even reveal how she act. At this point I don't hope that anything change in term of plot, and I suspect she still be treat like living saint, and anyone except fev bad people would see her otherwise.

No. Its aculy that she wantet to be friends with sublime. Dhe aculy talked to adrien befor offscreen,. He sayed ther dont talk during runinh. Later dhe sees them talking and overthinks stuff. She us a Nervous mess and then thinks its her fault. Adrien explains things zo sublime saying marinette has a hard time sometimes making new friends. Allofs this is becaus she trys to not think about Gabriel bering Monarch. She is Afraid of failing. You all just dont understand Nervous People.

@ She only tried to befriend Sublime, because she was Adrien's friend and honestly the fact that Adrien is comfortable talking about his friends with Marinette is a huge red flag. And honestly a justified one. The moment she learns that Adrien has a female friend, she acts like a lunatic, gets all the info she can on her, and then stalks her with the hopes she'll end up in trouble so she can fix it.

The fact Adrien can’t even have friends that aren’t Marinette’s is a huge red flag. Also the Werepapas thing is just stupid. Why, just why, can’t there be one episode surrounding the Agreste family where Marinette is either not the focus or just there as support without breaking in?! I mean my God, Adrien barely knows his grandparents and this is none of Marinette’s business anyways, and it’s not like she was asked to come so why does she have to be there?! And if she does, why not just have Adrien ask her to be there for emotional support. They’re dating right?

I think what bothers me about Marinette’s character writing is that the writers and fandom act like this is some realistic depiction of trauma, which would be fine if they didn’t pick and choose when realism mattered, you can’t excuse bad behavior with “it’s meant to depict the after affects of trauma” but then turn around and write the most unrealistic shit for the consequences of the action If any of the characters were written realistically, marinette would’ve probably been fucking shunned or atleast chewed out Looking back Bojack rarely sought out to intentionally hurt people, atleast not the people he cared about, but it doesn’t change the fact that his actions DID hurt them and that’s what matters at the end of the day, and I think that logic should be applied here for marinette i think it’s another issue,not just with marinette but the show at large. the idea that as long as your intentions are good than your actions aren’t that bad, it’s applied to so many characters looking back and it’s kinda infuriating once you realize itt

what really stuck out to me in this episode is how they infantilise marinette.They talk about her they way they would a dog with sublime treating homegirl pretending to be a villain like you would a child looking for attention.Its incredibly stupid because if marinette quite literally decided to do nothing or hell just asked her boyfriend to introduce her it'd be fine.she has been doing this for months to,too the point that Alya doesn't try to stop her.Hell i blame tikki too cuz why was she so nice about it,she should've taken a strict tone with her cuz there is no reason for her to act like twilight on cocaine at this stage of her journey like damn.I WISH someone just Yelled at her too get it through her head that what she is doing is incredibly dumb for crying out loud she ran after the car and destroyed her prosthesis because of damn near NOTHING.iT GETS TIRING MAN

@ Yes, it is. Marinette was the one who soaped up the floors, so she was the one responsible. I should know. I've been in Marinette's place where I did something stupid that hurt someone even if I didn't mean to, because I overreacted to something that wasn't even a big deal. That was my fault whether I intended harm or not, and the only person to blame in that situation was me like how in this situation Marinette overreacted and it got Sublime hurt.

Sublime....has nice hair? There's a lot of it. That's all I got. Also, I looked it up and those prosthetic running legs are made of *extremely* durable carbon fiber, and they wouldn't just shatter like that. Even the "cheap" ones (10-70k is the average price range)

it was cute at the start, but now it's just annoying. because Marinette didn't mature at all in those 5 seasons. Even if this was made for kids, they deserve a better-written show. this is just a polished turd that teaches kids that stalking your boyfriend is good behaviour.

First 2 episodes have really left me unsatisfied mainly cause of marinette. She’s regressed so badly it’s sad. She’s fully obsessed with Adrien despite bagging him and more synopsis show she’s gonna keep doing it. Forget adrien needing to handle his father dying and family dynamic being changed AGAIN it’s has to be from marinettes POV or else nothing matters. The writers squeezed her character dry and they don’t realize she could be so much better if they spread the focus like using the classmates beyond cameos and akumatize spotlights. All in all I really hope they do better cause if she’s gonna be like this all season barring when she locks in and Carries the rescue ignoring cat noir again they made a new status quo only to do nothing notable aside from mess their character up even more

I feel that it would have been better if instead of using the "we are already our best versions", they had gone on the side of realizing that putting the guys you are fighting against in their peak is not a good idea. This way it would not be contradictory with the message of the chapter

I really hated Marinette in this episode. Not everyone is going to want to be your friend Marinette! And frankly if you don’t learn that. You’re going to end up being a problem. Not that you aren’t already are one Terrornette! And Sublime? Poor sweet girl had to deal being terrorized by Maricreep! And considering what she did to Sublime’s legs. I really hope something bad happens to Marinette. Losing her memory. Plagg cataclysming her. Ect.

They were already in S4, as you would see except opening/finale and propably mostly thing consider Lukanette/Adrigami (with him know their civil ID for example) it not push plot in any way. That's why in S5 was sudden rush with everything, especially Lila (next hawky) and Adrianette. Miracolous already had 5 seasons and like 150 episodes. It's like expect something new from Sailoor Moon Stars, and even there they not could do more cuz as you see it's hard with creativity now in west popculture. There could be chance if with episodes be more focus on other holders, like whole episode with Felix5Kagami, Juleka&Rose, Max&Kim etc, showing that they can on their own face and beat akuma. Or like Natalie&Adrien dynamic in house after that. But we know it won't be, it's still be Marinocentric and with usual cliche, another rewatch of S1 but with Lila as villain.

I'd say Sublime's introductory episode is worst than Zoe's, cause at least Sole Crusher actually FOCUSED on her and cared enough to give her an emotional conflict. It was hardly a masterpiece (even by the show's standard) but at least worried a fair bit about giving Zoé a proper introduction to the cast. Even if after that she was only relevant in, like, 3 other episodes (5 if you reach).

I honestly think the episode would be better if Sublime didn’t end up forgiving Marinette, but remained Adrien’s friend. That way we get a little more edge to her personality and Marinette is given a conflict where she has to navigate a complicated relationship with this girl who doesn’t really like and avoids her, but still maintains a close friendship with her boyfriend. I think they could slowly become acquaintances but it’s clear that Sublime is Adrien’s friend over Marinette and wouldn’t fall into the Ladybug Cult Club.

I don't know if its a Sublime not acting like a true human or The writers can't have someone be angry with their main character. Which honestly seems to hurt the narrative even more if that's the case. Because even Superman has people, everyday regular civilians, who don't like him. There is still the possibility that the person in the stands is Lila due to the fact that she is writing everything, the London Special made it official that Lila can't remember what happened while she was akumatized, that's why she needs to write so much, to be able to remember everything and plan everything, so the fact that this person is also writing in this scene may not be a coincidence, what if Lila akumatized herself so she could change her appearance to the extreme? That's why she's writing since she won't remember anything after coming out of the akumatization. It could be someone else, yes, but it's hard to be sure, as I said, the fact that this person is writing doesn't seem like just a coincidence, if it were someone else they could just say what happened to Lila, and even if they need to write something down it wouldn't be so much.
