fun fact the gauntlet is the actual speed of giant battles in this game but they were slowed down in the actual story mode

The sped-up animations do a lot of good here, makes the battles feel a little bit like the more fast-paced ones of Dream Team, some of the 'weight' and scale that the characters have is lost a bit, but overall improves them a lot

I think it’s because Bowser only has 5 boss fights at normal size(7 if you count the fights against Broque Monsieur and Broggy, which are just tutorials for the Vacuum Block and Crouching, respectively. And before you say Dark Bowser, final bosses have never been opponents in Gauntlets). And only the fight against Midbus has him go solo, since all other fights have something you can/need to inhale and have the Bros fight.

Honestly, pretty much the only thing in the remake that was better than the original was the X button to make both brothers jump. Aside that, pretty much everything feels cheaper and less polished

The difference speeding up animations makes is amazing. I would much rather prefer if all Giant battles were done at this speed. It gives the battles more intensity instead of having them feel like glorified cutscenes.

Spedup animations make me feel joy, as those fights now have a proper pacing. And frustration, cause WHY THEY COULDN'T DO THESE FIGHTS IN A FAST MANNER FROM THE VERY START Not to mention that this way Giant Fights seem more fast-paced than usual fights in this game, which is just downright astounding.

It feels kinda weird that during the finishing blow on the train, it actually lines up with Bowser's punch. It'd be kinda awesome if it was facing upwards. No idea why, but it'd be much more satisfying to punch the underside of the train and make it contort from the attack.

Watching this game whilst keeping up with the SSS+BM playthrough, the differences in quality between those two games is night and day. While this one, I think, doesn't try to standardize any of the designs like SSS+BM, the quality overall feels like a downgrade, from the downgrade in FPS to the very strange bugs and quirks. Its quite a shame, too, because this game does look gorgeous.

The downgrade was probably because of budged cuts, after the remake's failure Alphadream experienced a crisis, and with this game's horrible sales (sad, because it's probably one of the best 3DS games) it went into a bankrupt

Those Gaudy Fangs are actually pretty broke, combined with the Challenge Medal, every enemy can be defeated with a first strike. Hell even Blizzard Midbus and fawful were beat in one brawl attack
