From a horological standpoint, it's a huge success. From a business standpoint, not so much. But then again, Kalle is in a business where sometimes legacy and cost are mutually exclusive. How often does such a rare and storied project come across any watchmaker's bench? Kalle's workshop did more to cement its legacy of excellence with the finished product than any high-dollar repair bill ever would. Well done, folks.

Kalle you and your team are magicians. I got the impression that earning money is a secondary goal. You seem to love what you do! Thanks for such beautiful videos.

You have every right to feel very proud of this restoration, Kalle. The stunning results speak for themselves. It was obvious that this watch needed a lot of work, but to discover the main plate was bent, especially after so many hours of work were already expended, must have been an awful surprise, and to press on and repair the original main plate is a huge undertaking in and of itself! Well done!

what a gigantic job you have done, I’m really impressed!!! 😮 Fixing bent main plate is unbelievable. Kudos and hat off! Kalle, I’m particularly interested how the hands were restored, I remember they were extremely damaged and bent upwards. Maybe you could do one day a video about it, how to shape such damaged hands back to normal and how to restore the fluroscent section some of them have, I hope it is doable task for a hobbies like myself :) Anyway, fantastic job and congratulations, amazing safe of such treasure!

You should be quite proud- that result and especially the movement are indeed stunning!!! Point of no return or not there are fewer and fewer place willing to commit to that level of restoration. Historical watch becomes an historical exercise in what is possible in horology! Thank you for sharing...

I think that is called a "labour of love"! What a wonderful restoration. Not the best business decision, perhaps, but very "soul satisfying", I'm sure it is something that you will remember after all of the normal watch services are forgotten. An excellent illustration of your groups motivations. PS: how does one damage a main plate like that?

The Lemania is renowned to survived super high-g’s by air fighter pilots better than other chronographs, to have gotten a beating so bad is a testimony to Mario Andretti pushing the envelope more than most human body can survive. It’s almost a miracle to have given back life to this Lemania ´s👌❤️👍 bent main plate! 🙀😍. Hope the owner appreciated the effort implemented to this watch! We take it for granted in this disposable society to get anything we want quickly. (Hats off to you & team) 😍

Great work once again. How did you get the main plate flat again? Did you bend it back, or did you use a surface grinder, or something else?
