Luigi was still fat in the "Super" games too, especially in Super Mario Bros 3 where both Mario and Luigi had those huge potbellies *(although in the newer versions like in All-Stars or Super Mario Advance they have him slimmed down).* It wasn't until the N64 games where he was considerately slimmer than Mario. Although games like Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games show Luigi has the same porportions as Mario. Mario's actually not as fat as he used to be either, he looks sort of thinner himself just not to the extent as Luigi. Also, both of them were depicted to be middle-aged back then as well. Little known fact: This advert's song was actually a parody of the theme to an old TV show called "Car 54, Where Are You?". Also some portions of the VeggieTales song "The Yodeling Veterinarian of the Alps" were based off that same melody as well.

man, rip to the actor in this. his acting is definitely very lively and cartoony, nice catchy song, visually it is kinda uncanny and i could imagine to really young kids a bit terrifying but i imagine they mustve put a lot of thought into this, and just for a 30 second ad
