I tried to say 'Hello' to Mario when he was an assistant coach for the Kings. He was at The W Hotel by UCLA with Omri Casspi the day before they played the Lakers and Kobe hit a corner 3 to win the game. Needless to say he looked at me with disgust.

I wish I could ask the great Junkyard Dog Mario Elie if he ever faced adversity from those that didn't believe in him early in his career and if he did, how did he deal with it?

Who couldn't believe in that talent, special player, a leader? When he player for 3 years in Portugal at the Ovarense team everyone could see that he was a TOP NBA player that was like a blessed moment to have him playing in the Ovarense Basketball team...and that's where he went after: to the NBA
