TL;DR - Game lets you save when something dangerous is about to happen. I think RPGmaker games (Witch's house, Ao Oni, that sort of thing) usually give you a chance to save your game before something bad happens, like a chase scene. Which is what happened in the closet / main room on Night 2, Fusion didn't press anything, it's just that there was a *chance* of death after they saved. An example of this in another game is Witch's House, normally you have to save your game by finding this black cat, but for the final chase sequence, the game lets you save *right* before the chase starts so you don't have to go through the whole cutscene again. Basically, the "Shift to Run" of RPGMaker games. Horror game tells you how to sprint? *Better start running.* RPGMaker game automatically gives you a save prompt? *Better get ready for a chase or quick time event.*

Um, Now that wouldn't be so bad if the suits themselves weren't filled with crossbeams, wires and animatronic devices especially around the facial area. So, you could imagine having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort... and death. Uh, the only parts of you that would likely see the light of day again would be your eyeballs and teeth when the pop out the front of the mask, heh.
