Not to sound rude, but Plum and Azalea are not related to Peach and Daisy. That was a hoax that was created by a parody blog called "Did Yuo Know Gaming?" (misspelling intentional) With that being said, I fully agree with you on Plum making a return! That goes for her friends too. (Charlie, Sonny, Harry, and Maple) I'd also like to see Azalea and her friends (Kid, Sherry, and Joe) return as well.

Depends. I remember having played with my GBC character on a friend's caryridge which had its data deleted (friend's cousin's fault), and I unlocked Maple first. Since I was playing with a character that could shoot further than Metal Mario and straiter than Maple, I didn't care much for the Get Character Mode until I unlocked all 6 courses. Ended up getting Maple by the time I reached the 5th course

I loved all those original characters so much. Shame my cartridge got damaged so my data got corrupted and I couldn’t ever unlock anyone past Luigi for single player 🤣 Baby Mario made such a cute cameo!

Wasn't Azalea the temporary replacement for Daisy? Many gamers back in the '90s didn't know that Daisy was a different character from Peach only because Daisy's classic design didn't look much different from Peach and NES Open Tournament Golf wasn't well known in the 1990s. I was here for Azalea only because she was replaced by Daisy only because Nintendo felt that Daisy deserved better.

But with subsequent and more recent games, the character roster is here has gotten repetitive and monotonous. For example, Mario Kart 8, do we need multiple versions of Peach or Bowser or baby versions of Rosalina or Daisy? If thats the cass, I rather would have the sports Human characters over the duplicates.

Maple is dasiy counterpart before she became in Mario tennis and so is Azalea she’s also named after her flowers as well. That means these two characters were added before Daisy made her debut in Mario and Mario party three there’s supposed to be her counterpart man. Every character in the game in the main series has a character counterpart and another universe

Actually, Daisy debuted earlier than them in Super Mario Land, released in 1989. Maple debuted in Mario Golf 64, released in 1999. Azalea debuted in Mario Golf GBC, released in 1999 as well, though a few months after 64.
