I feel like if Nintendo made the gold parts have perfect stats offline, but you can't bring them into online play, then hackers would just bring it into online play. I'd rather not deal with that.

Yeah, I do wish the gold parts weren't as lackluster. I don't blame em though, getting them means you're better than average and now you have an op car, so it makes the competition for others to actually feel like they have a chance, diminish. Offline mode definitely is a good idea to enjoy that feeling of accomplishment for the players that actually achieve it.

@Inevitable And the entire point was that you could only use it offline (no time trials either), and any gold parts would be unselectable online to prevent this in online play and only gold kart WRs. If this was an offline only reward (excluding TTs), then you could feel like youve accomplished something for all your efforts without disturbing the fun for others
