Honestly, ik it’s unlikely, but I’d really want to see DS Rainbow Road. It’s the originator of anti gravity in Mario kart, with its loop and corkscrew, and was just a really fun and underrated track. But let’s be honest, we’ll all be happy with Waluigi pinball

an issue with antigravity i have is that it kinda defeats the originality of some tracks that had antigrav sections before 8, like DS rainbow road or rockrock mountian like look at koopa cape, it was cool in wii because you go underwater but in mk7 almost every track goes underwater. im not saying the gimmicks are bad, it just ruins some older tracks.

The base game also has just a few retro tracks with the anti-gravity feature. Sometimes it just doesn't fit the track, you can't expect it to be everywhere.

I think that’s a possibility, knowing that the last cup will be the Blue Shell Cup, which, makes me think it’ll be the hardest cup in the game, so yay, 4 Rainbow Roads in a single cup will only make sense with the Blue Shell Cup, which will make you fear it! It’ll include Double Dash Rainbow Road, DS Rainbow Road, 3DS Rainbow Road and GBA Rainbow Road, and it’ll be ordered from easiest to hardest. (This is personally what I’d like to see for a full Rainbow Road based Cup in the game, and since DLC in coming, this is the perfect time, more than ever! If only this’ll be real, and not something in my fantasy

I think a Bowser's Castle course is pretty likely, as there's only one Bowser's Castle in the base game. I think these should be N64 Bowser's Castle and GBA Bowser's Castle.

When it comes to courses from Mario Kart Tour, there is a lack of a particular theme - desert. So I think the extra city course from Tour is going to be one based off Cairo, Egypt. There was pyramids teased in the art for Mario Kart Tour, but there is currently no desert courses.

Gonna relay some background info on Tour on courses that could appear in the DLC. Through datamines and teasers/accidental leaks from DeNA, we know of two potential city locations that may make an appearance in later tours, and subsequently, potentially crossed over into the Booster Course Pass. [Spoiler protection] *Amsterdam Course* - A badge within the Gold Pass in a past tour was of a Toad with surrounding text "Toad Shopping Plaza Amsterdam" *Bangkok Course* - Objects were datamined with the names "CarTukTukLong", "BoatWoodThai", and "CarTukTuk". Thailand is known for its auto-rickshaw service of using Tuk-Tuks in highly congested areas like downtown Bangkok.

This looks like a good mix overall, but I'm hoping they'll make an exception for a couple of tracks that haven't been remade yet, specifically the remaining Rainbow Roads. Imagine having every Rainbow Road in one game, that would be so good!

I feel like the main reason it hasn't been remade yet is because they're waiting for a different themed tour to release it in, or because they've kinda abandoned Miis (although, lately, Nintendo has been bringing them back to life with Miitopia and kind of with Nintendo Swicth Sports) and Maka Wuhu/Wuhu Loop are based off of Wii Sports Resort, which heavily features Miis.* *One thing I thought about while typing this was that there is a Wuhu Town battle map in the game, so it wouldn't be unlikely for Nintendo too add Maka Wuhu or Wuhu Loop, or possibly both of them. Even though this counters my argument , I am not going to delete it, because it took a long time to write. I hope you enjoyed me rambling for the day.

I really think this DLC has amazing possibilities. The fact that we could see some of my favorite tracks returns such as Koopa Cape, Maple Treeway, and all the rainbow roads is amazing. I really hope we get them

Honestly, I respect these choices. I could definitely see a huge share of the dlc tracks coming from tour. My ideal cup would be new york minute, moonview highway, Toads factory ( theme absolutely slaps) and 3ds rainbow road because it was the first track i ever successfully pulled off a viable shortcut the huge jump at the end Also bring pauline and the kongs back

i know it’s unlikely since it’s just tour tracks getting ported but i REALLY want to see a ton of gba and DS tracks get remade, seeing shroom ridge and sky gardens again made me really happy also i really hope that the blue shell cup is just all of the rainbow roads that aren’t in 8 yet (even though one of them would have to be in a different cup)

You know, seeing MKTour Tracks in console can be interesting. Personally, the tracks are pretty good but the fact that is a mobile game and how that affect the gameplay makes it pretty dificult for me to play it. But with controller I think those tracks will have a major improvement and will become much more enjoyable.

Really solid predictions! Would also make for a very satisfying selection Though with a pool of 40 tracks mostly derived from tour some are bound to be correct anyway haha. Some even seem to have been datamined! Agree we’ll get one or more currently unreleased tour cities too. Alternatives to all these I’d really like to see would be Delfino Square, Toad Factory, DK summit, Frappe snowland, (yes i know, more snow tracks…), DK’s jungle parkaway, Mushroom City/Moonview Highway, Wario Colosseum, Peach Beach, the Wuhu tracks, and Yoshi Falls

I've been compiling results of "Top 145 Mario Kart Tracks" (and also "Top 216 Mario Kart Tracks") lists for a while now, and using an Olympic average of the results (drop the highest and lowest scores, and average the rest), I've come up with a ranking of tracks by how they tend to place. Disclaimer: - These do not include courses from Mario Kart Tour or the arcade games. Those have historically tended to be ignored, and so I don't have any way to compare Tour tracks to the tracks from the "main line". - These are Nitro tracks only. I've pared the list down to only the tracks that are not currently in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and that have not been announced for Wave 1--which consists of a total of 92 tracks. Obviously there's no way all of those are getting in, and a number of the remaining DLC slots will likely be taken by MK Tour tracks, so I decided to pare it down to 40. I think that if there's one track that makes it from "off the board", it'll be Maka Wuhu.

It will be the common thread. it would be logical because it will be the most "exclusive" races because it will be their first time on console, and the console and smartphone audience is not necessarily the same, and the gameplay is very different too.

I think it would have been cool if each of the 12 new cups cam with one new character (aka 2 per wave), and they could just come from Tour, so Pauline, Monty Mole, Nabbit, King Bob-Omb, Hammer Bro and the other Bros., Dixie Kong, Kamek, and Chargin' Chuck, along with Funky Kong, Diddy Kong, Birdo, and Petey Piranha

I agree, however I feel like Vancouver velocity and merry motorway would be in pack three given it’s almost definitely releasing in winter but pack 6 would probably also do that so maybe just Vancouver velocity, and it would be wierd I feel to release a winter themed track in the summer

I bet this was a sudden thing for the Mario kart team and they are still working on the dlc so it isn't a bad chance the visuals will be updated

While these look to be Mario Kart Tour quality tracks. Yes it looks like we won't be getting any anti-gravity segments, features, etc. But whatever happens to stay on schedule we will be getting eight courses every four months.

I would have switched Vancouver Velocity and New York Minute's placements because New York Minute fits the Moon cup a bit more with its Odyssey inspired themes and the fact that Pauline and Musician Mario was announced with the course when Tour was first released. Anyway, that's what I would change. You do you, I guess.

My most wanted courses: Wario Colosseum (Double Dash, in case people don't remember that one). Maple Treeway Koopa Cape Mushroom Gorge Anything from 7, as it's my favorite Mario Kart. But specifically: Daisy Hills Wuhu Loop Maka Wuhu Rock Rock Mountain Rainbow Road from 7

This is actually an pretty realistic prediction although i HIGHLY doubt that GCN Luigi Circuit and DS Figure 8 Circuit are returning I also don't think Nintendo will put SNES MC 1 before GCN MB since those 2 share the same layout

Well, I would not mind if most of the tracks are from Tour, DS and 7 because I never played them. But I really hope for Daisy Cruiser and DK Mountain (GameCube) and Bowsers Castle (N64), they are one of my favorites.
