Assetto Corsa definitely. I especially like touge racing tournaments. I ran a local of that once and it was glorious, I beat a GTR-34 in a Capuccino on Shomaru pass.

Mario Kart Tour! It's by far the game I've most enjoyed playing competitively. Unfortunately it's been bleeding players since mid-2022 and the rumoured shutdown date of July 2024 doesn't help either. Another game I enjoy is KartRider Drift... is what I would say if Nexon actually supported the game in the west. Like the former, that game has been bleeding players albeit at a much more rapid pace, and the game is mainly considered a shell of its predecessor, Crazyracing KartRider. It's a shame since that game had a lot of potential I feel, especially during the first few months of the game. I don't want to go back to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe...

This was a great video! A lot of people don't realize how much the dedicated players contribute to the game, even for the casual viewer. Lots of cool tech and shortcuts that you see in videos would not be possible without the thousands of hours that top players grind the game. As a player who just started playing competitive Mario Kart, I gotta admit it is really fun! The level of the rooms is much higher compared to regional or global, and everyone is super skilled in pretty much all tiers! It's incredible what the community has managed to achieve!

The craziest part about Mario Kart 8 is that despite being what is a essentially a 10-year-old game, It's Meta is still developing to this day. Hell, we just got an explosion in the community of a recent tech that was found a few years ago but has now really came to the limelight called 'Hypergliding' and it is crazy, like Mario Kart Wii exploits and Wheelies levels of Insanity for how much it indefinitely changes the game. And for a title that is more than a decade old at this point, that's super impressive

Dude the original Mario Kart 8 is almost 10 years old it will be in May of 2024 and it's switch port Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be 7 years old in April of 2024 so yeah the original MK8 is 10 years old not MK8DX it's 7 years old because it came out in 2017 on April 28th.

The most F-Zero-like of the Mario Karts. Played it a bunch, even doing time attack. Making optimal lines and cramming in boosts was so much fun. Would've been damn near perfect had they patched out snaking.

No offense, but this video really didn't explore any "depth" within MK8 itself (outside of the very brief mention of firehopping and demonslides), but just summarised the competitive communities history. That's fine, but given the title, I was really hoping for something more closely related to the game itself.

Mario Kart needs a Super Smash Bros / Mario Maker treatment. Being able to customize a battle/race. Adding, removing, reposition coins, items box, items itself, boost, 2D map maker, 3D map maker, kart, costume, sound customization. Choose how items randomizer work (how about having one of all items type per race or league, or choose a certain quantity per race, to use strategically). Choosing between car only or bike only (how about adding boats, planes, bicycles, wheelchairs, trucks, monster truck, running with military booster backpack, skateboard...if they are not willing to bring back Diddy Kong Racing). If Nintendo make his main games a service then a sandbox games with tons of customization à la Minecraft philosophy for Smash, Kart, Splatoon, Zelda, etc. If customization is too overwhelming then at least add automatic handicap to a normal race where a 4 years old kid have to the possibility to beat a 100 years veteran while both can have a fun challenging gaming session. How about a Cruis'n Blast customization option? Making all the Kart stay within a certain perimeter so they are not too far from one another. Or a adding a battle royal perimeter to remove Kart from the race.

I’ll never get why people call Mario Kart a game for kids when it’s one of the most common games played casually by people of all ages. You could say taking it very seriously is childish but imo that should apply to all video games. Why is it better to spend hours grinding something like CSGO instead of Mk? Either way you’re wasting hours to get better at a video game.

Catalyst was the first tournament I’ve ever competed in. My performance wasn’t the greatest. But It was one of the most incredible experiences of my entire life. I had the privilege of meeting and competing against some incredible people and great legends in this community. It was a learning experience for me personally. But it was an incredible experience I will never forget 💯💯

Exactly what I was thinking. I played mk a ton as a kid but not having friends to play with on a daily as often, I took to tm2020 naturally. Charming to see both games have such dedicated scenes

I've been playing Mario Kart 8 since 2014, so my transition into 8 DX in 2021 I think was pretty smooth and I picked up the game easily too. I remember finishing 3rd in a lan on an event in my city by playing with the Wiimote sideways and motion controls despite me bringing my Pro Controller and the organization didn't let me used it lol. Oh and that lan was 200cc tournament.

please do a video on killer instinct. i heard many people say that killer instinct is a great fighting game in almost all of its aspects and some even consider it one of the best 2d fighters but its not that popular of a game and its been 10 years since we got a sequal
