It is now my life mission to play this
@TrashCanBoiBoi2 жыл бұрын
It's really not as hard as it seems, just take your time it took me only like 30 minutes to get fairly good at the lick but I'm still working on the rest of the solo... Repetition is key

@@cardbored5961 no way, that's so tuff. On what instrument?
@cardbored59612 жыл бұрын
@@TrashCanBoiBoi Bb Bass Clarinet, it's not too difficult, just finger through it once or twice, then slowly speed up. I didn't mean the whole piece, I meant the main melody as in right before the lick and the lick itself. Sorry for not being clear haha
@TrashCanBoiBoi2 жыл бұрын
@@cardbored5961 oh nah it's fine lol I'm still amazed, I've only played one thing by ear which was the main melody to 'Equinox' by John Coltrane and the baseline to 'Shake it Off' by Taylor Swift on an Eb Alto saxophone lol

Don’t be disheartened or discouraged, trumpets trained in jazz (or classical, but mostly jazz from my own experience) have unlocked their range and can play notes even higher. Don’t stop trying and improving! Have a great time practicing.

I think an under appreciated factor is a clarinetist's tone consistency, being able to make a nice sound in all registers, this guy killed it.
