Probably my favorite track from MK7. The turns are so precise, then there being no rails to save you makes this track super fun and difficult at the same time. Then the ascend to the final jump that crosses the finish line makes for some great finishes. I also love the theme of a rainy city at night time, with a bit of a futuristic flair thrown in. And to give the title of it to Bowser is even better. Envy thing about this track makes me happy

It really is a lot better than Game Explain is making it out to be. It's a drifty track, along with the rain and stuff making it difficult to stay on the course if you're not good at drifting. They obviously didn't play MK7 enough, nor competitively.

Sayu Satoru I think the reason they hated Neo Bowser City is because despite its nice look to it, overall it just doesn't utilize any of the mechanics of Mario Kart 7 at all (hangliding and underwater) and is overall just a basic, generic track. I think that's what they're getting at. I haven't played it btw. I heard this from another source.

JaidynReiman Technically, there is a hang gliding jump right before the finish line, so that would make no sense at all. Neo Bowser City just happens to be one of those ''Like it or you don't'' type of course.

The hang gliding section to the left was an awesome shortcut, especially if you time your lift right and slide through the bars instead of going around the barrier

Nintendo Fan1910 I agree. but 8 doesn't have the fun mechanics of DOuble Dash making Baby Park rather bland. Giant Bananas and Bowser Shells are the key items for causing chaos in Baby Park, neither of which are available unfotunately

TheFlyingCule I still think there will be some chaos though as of course blue shells have shorter distances to travel and don't fly, people in low positions can wreck havoc on those in high positions,etc. It won't be as fun as in Double Dash but it'll be way more fun than in DS.

BRIE I thought this game was going to be more skill based since they introduced the Super Horn, but you hardly ever get one in first and when you do, you usually just have to waste it on a red shell anyway.

BRIE what are you talking about? many of the "cheap" items were nerfed here. off the top of my head, Blue shell doesn't stun you as long, nor does it come up as much, star's speed boost was nerf and bullet bill's size was nerfed

Dragorosso95 There's no gimmick. It's only feature is that it requires adequate drifting skills. I think that makes it a good track though. No BS in the way.

Dragorosso95 from what i gather, i sounds like it's boring as f*ck to play on, both in aesthetic and track design. I'm guessing it was one of the later tracks, which was why people were disappointing by it's ease and blandness.

I just noticed that the music of Neo Bowser City is a sneaky arrangement of Toad's Turnpike n64 thrown in with the MK7 theme. I never noticed when I was playing on the 3DS.

Mario Kart Wii had an awesome soundtrack! I'd say it's tied with DS as my favorite, with Double Dash and 8 tied at second. 7's is pretty forgettable, but there were some ones I liked; Daisy Hills, Music Park, and Piranha Plant Slide in particular (and I suppose DK Jungle and Rosalina's Ice World). I did like the GBA Bowser Castle 1 remix too. But that's not a lot comparing to the other Mario Kart OSTs.

I think what the strength of this track is, is pure racing. It's an excellent track to have a serious race on. It's not mind-blowingly gorgeous, and one could argue about the music, but this track requires skill win on. Smooth but tight cornering, the parts of the track with no ceiling being treated as 'off-road' (due to rain) and the lack of railings on the S-turn especially really test your guts as a racer. You need to take those turns as tightly as possible, with the rain in mind, but take it too tightly or simply don't give the turns enough thought and you'll lose many valuable seconds. That I think is the strength of this track. In MK7 I learned to take the S-turn very sharply and it shows as those turns were always where I would cover the most distance against my friends (who were pretty evenly matched in most cases). This track just plays very well.

I think you should simply do a time trial for future head to heads as this replay thing often chooses poor camera angles(like zooming in on the characters too much) for showing off the stage

I must say I miss the lack of the blue moonlight color this track had in MK7 along with a more constant neon colors, the cyan blue and the hot pink really gave it a more "Neo" look. Either that, or the Hotline Miami colors really kept stuck on me. Well, either way, I like seeing this track back!
