I always enjoyed the fact that each course is utilized and no courses left out. Even if it's for a smaller role. I like driving on some courses backward. They're fun to me. The only harder part for me was trying to do the boost since I didn't like how the directional pad was small.

So much fun with this game. I didn't own a PC or anything of that sort around the time I was playing this, so I had to find these modes just by playing the crap out of this game and polishing driving skills. This was definitely an underrated addition to Mario Kart.

I really don't understand why mission mode never made a return especially in 7 and 8 deluxe. Those games had kart parts that you could unlock. Why not put some unlockables behind missions like parts or characters ?

HOT TAKE: Mission Mode is overrated. Don’t get me wrong, I loved mission mode as a kid. It was perfect for a handheld Mario kart title at the time. But I see so many people asking for this to return in Mario Kart 9 and I have to disagree. 90% of these missions are extremely simplistic and/or copies of one another, and I just think Nintendo can aim so much higher. If mission mode does return, the missions need to be much more diverse, difficult, and interesting overall.

i did the lvl 5 mission differently lol, i follow king bob-omb when he jumps and stay right in the center where i get the bomb and hold it behind me, as he falls down and squiches me, the bomb instantly blows up below him and also hits me but i keep my 3balloons cause thr mision is therefore done
