Waluigi Pinball in the Mario Kart DS beta.
Differences:
Pretty much everything.
This version of the course still exists in the final game as donkey_course.
pin1, pin_head1, and test_cylinder objects were removed from the final version.

Looks like the beta track was intended to be "Waluigi Pachinko", it far closer resembles pachinko machines with the map's layout in this state, especially with those poles everywhere. The map layout doesn't seem very practical at all for racing on though, "Waluigi Pinball" in its final state is far better in just about every way in my opinion.

I died of laughter when it happened. I had something like that happen to me - when the shell was behind me on the Wii and the warning flashed up, I dropped to 2nd and didn't get hit! Blue shells are amazing

A lot of the aesthetics are different probably not finalised. The green section with the stands and bumpers would have been ridiculous, glad they were removed. That whole section with the jump in the final was really different. However I guess they wanted to give it more spectacle, thus, jump. The pinball section looks entirely different and extremely difficult to play in, imagine if pinballs hit you whilst going over the place? They make these design decisions carefully so saying 'they picked the wrong one' just because you're seeing it differently, I mean, there's a ton of decisions they could've made in favour of Waluigi Pinball being what it is today. The stands in that triangle formation was probably also a huge disservice to the racing since it kills your momentum. Eh it's okay but the final one is still a joy to race in.

If you go against the fence when going in the cannon (beta version) you will fly in the cannon but then knocked to the direction you were facing, forcing you to fall out of bounds later to be picked up at the finish line by lakitu
